Lol you're right but the way I look at it is that it makes it more exciting/unpredictable because now realistically Denver or golden state may have a chance against them in the next round.

We all got a glimpse of what the lakers would llok like sans Kobe and it wasn't pretty.

Gasol and Howard, got the chance to be the focal point of the offense and we saw what happened. When Kobe comes back, they need to shut the Fk up and let the Great Kobe Bryant do his thing.

A lot of Kobe hating laker fans are very very quiet now. Thats a good thing.

Not really and that has been Kobe's problem since the beginning. Laker fans who liked shaq and gave him all the credit dogged Kobe all those years in 05-08. Then when they started winning they gave all the credit to Gasol! (a guy who had not won ONE single playoff game at memphis)

In my family, only one of my cousins and myself are Kobe fans. Everyone else always tries to prove to us how he is not good and how the lakers are better without him. When the lakers win they shut up and change the subject. When they lose, they come out and talk trash. Over the years, without any exaggeration, 40% of the laker fans I have come across, did not like Kobe and it all goes back to the whole shaq thing. LA was truly divided back in 04

                  LET'S F*CKING GO BABY!
Boston up by 15 with 9 minutes left in the quarter... if we screw this up there is a fat chance I will destroy my TV.

And here comes another Kobe Bryant debate:

Without question, I am a Kobe Bryant hater. Also without question, Kobe Bryant is the best shooting guard in the game post-Jordan era. He has an insane work ethic, a high basketball IQ, and was a very important piece of a championship team for each of those 5 rings he wears. He is the heart of Laker Nation. His 4th quarter heroics this season are unparalleled to anything anyone has seen.

HOWEVER, he is an asshole. A horrible and unreasonable team mate. He is also not even one of the top 3 Lakers of all time. In my eyes he is little compared to Magic, Kareem, or Jerry West. While he has a high basketball IQ, he has a low overall intelligence. Sometimes he displays his brutish behavior in interviews, and it is acceptable because Laker Nation on average has an IQ comparable to the number of championships the Los Angeles Lakers have. The ignorance of Laker fans creates more Kobe Haters, so this contributes to why even Laker fans themselves hate on Kobe. You can argue that Kobe was "over-nurtured" since he was lucky to start his career with an already established Phil Jackson and a Shaq at his prime. To his credit, he made the most of it, but sometimes I wonder what a Vince Carter would have done in a #8 Laker jersey.

Now to the Gasol argument. Ok so Gasol didn't win a playoff game until he left Memphis. Have you bothered to look at any of those rosters. They had guys like Jason Williams, Mike Miller, Shane Battier, Stromile Swift, Lorenzen Wright, and Eddie Jones. Jason Williams is bad, Mike Miller was the only other good player on that team, Battier is only a 3pt shooting defensive role player, Swift and Wright are jokes, and my boy Eddie Jones didn't have it in him anymore. Some roster huh? As soon as Gasol gets to the Lakers they make three straight finals appearances. That year after they beat Boston, Gasol started to get soft in the playoffs... and omg they got swept by Dallas in the second round. The year after... OKC ate them alive. Then this year happened. Gasol's decline is the reason the Lakers stopped winning. If Gasol never comes to the Lakers, they don't win any rings. They would have just been a title contender.

In conclusion, Kobe is a great Hall of Fame player, but a dick as a person. He is a rung lower than Jordan and Magic on the Hall of Fame ladder, which is still VERY high up the ladder. It is only a matter of time before LeBron passes him on that ladder.

BTW: OMG Laker fans hate LeBron!! Probably because they are threatened that he will surpass Kobe. And don't give me bullshit about "The Decision". All that money went to a good cause and LeBron is sorry about making a spectacle about it. When you are young you make mistakes, Kobe made a lot of them and the NBA fans let it go. LeBron made some too, and almost everyone let those go, except the Kobe lovers and a few other people who are just losers.

wow the knicks ****ing blew it tonight, a series that should have been over in 4 now has potential to go into a 7 game series with a toss up in the final game being how streaky both teams have been so far. all i know is if the knicks cant manage to win in 6, game 7 will be hell even if its on our home floor.

^ I've lived in Boston my whole life, lol.
I like OKC though and hope they make it from the west, although I doubt it now they lost Westbrook. But the Celtics are my #1 for sure.

Speaking of the Celtics, we are losing by 20 and the 3rd quarter is almost over.
                              Congrats New York.
