if the near future is 20 years then you may be correct, but as it stands the league is lacking in creativity, they have nothing but physical strength.,

ya possibly in like 20 years thigns will change. US def. has the infrastructure and the formula, what they're lacking is support from the main media to get people more excited about this sport. As it is its growing very much and people like it but access to the games and highlights is still not easy unless u follow it like we do on the internet. also, alot of foreigners are now growing up here or their kids are born here so that creativity and real passion is coming soon. They will improve as things move on, i think they'll become very competitive in the future, not sure about winning but then again the game is evolving and alot of teams are strong now. so they'll be alot more surpises and upsets in world cups of the future.
