I dont really think a ref thats not a linesman can really tell unless hes paying very close attention to that one player.

its pretty much impossible for a referee to spot an offside

I will say one thing.... balotelli really got illegally handled by the brazillian defense and irmatov should have given at LEAST 2 penalties( gustavo and dante both pulled balotelli with both hands and threw him on two separate occasions).... also.. neymars freekick goal came off of a dive.... brazil had a lot of luck in this match and with pirlo and montolivo italy probably wouldnt have lost.
