That was one of the most thrilling games in recent memory, and certainly the best I have ever seen Japan play. They are the pride of Asia, Iranians should look to their style for inspiration.

i have lost all hope in our TM. even though we qualified and its sweet...our entire performance in qualifiers was bs. All our wins vs. Uzbeks, S. korea, Qatar and This s. korea which were all 1-0 games were pure lucky goals. And the way we played especially against korea and uzbeks was so lame and if we're gonna play like that in the world cup, not only it will be embarrasing but people would hate us for it.

Yes I agree with everything you say. To be honest though, after 2002 and 2010, I'm just glad that we will be there and that we don't have any real regrets from qualification.

I think Queiroz most likely wants the squad to play to their strengths. The reality is that maybe we just don't have the players at the moment to play like Japan did yesterday. A defensive and counter-attacking style is what suits Iran at the moment?

If can manage to get into the last 16 at the World Cup, it will be progress, something to build on and this is my hope for next year.

we suck at defense...have always sucked and to be a good defensive team u need FOCUS the entire 90 min....which we all know we dont. And we def. dont have the counter attacking players. Maaaaybe if we try the khalatbari-gucci-dejagah up top we can....but without these players i highly doubt it.



we just need to grow some BALLS and pass the damn ball, press the opponent and do the short passes

Our qualification is a great achivement but the way we played was a little bit worrying. If we keep on this way, Spain can thrash us easily next year.

Spain is so pathetic. I used to like this team but not so much anymore. I still like Xavi, Iniesta and Villa somewhat...but they seem to enjoy beating up on helpless teams. Was it really necessary to score 10 goals on tahiti today?? all they wanna do is run up the goal tally of SHIT players like Torres. Someone who doesnt deserve it.

we used to suck at defense, but saying that we suck now is completely unfair, we have the best defense in asia, undisputed.... CQ completely revamped our defense with the exception of hosseini.

It would be unprofessional of Spain to give anything less then 100% in any match. You don't become the best in the world by taking it easy.
