    we have defeated both Italy and Serbia(narrowly) in our head to head matches
    this is nothing short of extraordinary results for Iranian volleyball
    simply amazing!

      This typicall iranian sky rocketing expectations are poison for any team spirit.
      Beating Italy and having an awesome comeback after being 2-0 down is a win in my books.


      I saw the complete game, you obviously did not.
      IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

        Im not sky rocketing expectations, I'm simply saying we can't always come out and win. Winning one or 2 games against good teams isn't anything impressive, we do it all the time in futsal.

          What's the point of comparing it with Futsal? *sigh* We are a dominant power house in futsal ever since. Volleyball is a complete different story. Mate you are genralizing here and that`s ridiculous to be honest with you. You didn't watch the game.
          See, as a passionate fan, i expect more from you and actually more from any iranian who calls himself a fan. Watch the game, get into the details, get the facts AND THEN JUDGE!
          That's something you would want from others regarding yourself and your profession too aziz.
          Critisize when it's right but not after such a performance against Italy.
          Coming out and saying (without even watching the game): " we can't keep winning " is full of ignorance and a slap into the players/staffs face.

          I would also love to see us winning every game and dominating the opponent. Under current circumstances, our teams (no matter which sports) must earn the muchest possible respect from us for any achievement. Not bashing them for not winning against a world power house team like italy.
