non guaranteed of course. If you read the contract it says, "tender". I went in detail explaining what a tender is a couple of weeks back (post #499). I also mentioned I have a very hard time seeing Arsalan playing for the sixers this year. I think he will either get cut and be signed by another team who is waiting for the opportunity OR he will be traded.

I hope Hawks happen. Sixers are a bs organization and all they will do is ruin careers. I pray to God he goes to Hawks and hopefully gets a contract with them.

latest news is that Sixers GM talked to his agent last night and tried to convince him to play overseas but the agent said Arsalan is willing to sacrifice anything this year to achieve his dream. It's pretty obvious the Sixers are trying to pull all the stops to keep his rights. Sixers GM is supposed to have a talk with Hawks GM today. Nobody knows exactly why. I am guessing he will either try to facilitate a trade to get something back instead of him just walk or he wants to scares the Hawks into thinking he will not let him walk by Sunday so they would give their last roster spot to someone else. All I know is the Sixers are being very selfish and are ruining his life for their own benefit.

Also worth noting, and I am NOT gonna say what team because this is a public forum. A very good team has told his agent they really want him but this year they are already full and they are hoping to have him on their next summer league roster of he becomes a free agent.
Basically it is pretty obvious that if Arsalan was a free agent in July, Several teams were very interested in signing him but unfortunately the Sixers are fking him up big time. What a garbage classless organization

no the Sixers won't pay his NBA salary and that is actually not bad. He would get paid more overseas without paying taxes. The Sixers have expressed their desire to help him find a team and the agent just laughed and said yeah you go for it. Basically what he meant was you can find a team but he is not gonna go!
You have to understand what the situation is. Basically many NBA teams have d-league teams. At the end of preseason, each team has to cut from 20 to 25 players. Teams usually require players to give NBADL commitment. They can't do that with Arsalan because he wasn't drafted this year. Basically by sending Arsalan overseas they get to keep rights of 21 players not 20!!! That's it. They are ruining his career for nothing! That's why I hope they just let them walk so he could have a fresh start. He feels the same way too. I am actually sitting next to him typing right now but he has no idea what I am doing! 😀

What a truly piece of shit team Sixers are.

I really hope they go for a trade of some sort but i wouldn't put past Hinkie to pull some bullshit and try to convince Hawks to not take him and in return Sixers will give them something else.

Man I just lost a lot of respect for the sixers!! (not the Persian one, even though I already hated them! )

The Hawks are a better team anyways, that would be a good team to go to.
