I think arsalan can still make NBA. sixers arent just gonna waste a draft pick. Worst case he can work his way up in D league.
Problem is he didnt try to develop an offensive game. Which is why he was left out of team melli. The old coach had more emphasis on D if he was still coach kazemi woulda played MY GOD only if we had a player that was the combination of kazemi and bahrami ;(
That player woulda been a beast. Hopefully some young kid in iran is doin that now

I seriously think its a massive confidence issue. He does not believe in himself. If only he had half the confidence some of these NBA benchwarmers have.

Guys heres some positive news regarding arsalan in NBA. Sixers still havent released or cut him. Cuz if they did he could sign with other teams. If they didnt want him he would be cut and then he would be a free agent. But problem is sixers arent letting him go just yet. So theres hope still. Sixers are still tanking this year so it sucks that they wont use him this year but will prob next year. He has to play elsewhere probably which sucks BUT sixers arent cutting him just yet. Theres light at the end of the tunnel

His first big mistake wan not entering the draft after his sophomore year in which he managed to put up huge numbers that shocked everyone nationally. He was ranked 2nd or 3rd in a year which Kenneth Faried led all rebounders being a senior(Arsalan could be ranked higher because of his age) and eventually being drafted at No.30... Look where Faried is now and where Arsalan is wandering. I won't go through more of his mistakes in his college years though.
About the stint with Team Melli, Arsalan was trying to use the NT as a booster for his chances with the 76er's. He thought and hoped his games in the World Cup would convince the 76er's management to give him a place on the roster. These 2 interviews with the Head coach Memi Becirovic and specially Mehran Shahintab the assistant coach show that Arsalan was trying to impose his own will and system in the team so that it could suit himself better so he can showcase his skills to clubs throughout the US and Europe. He didn't want to play the SF and C position at all but lack of quality players in those 2 spots made Becirovic play Kazemi as a reserve 3,4 and 5.

Though i didn't like many of Becirovic's decisions during the WC, but it seems Kazemi himself had a lot to do with what went on during TM's camp and his lack of playing time. Here is another Interview with Samad Nikkhah which he briefly says some players tried to impose their own will in the team (He doesn't go through the details).

Finally have a look at his Interview with FIBA and specially this part:
"Here (in Granada), you play against, not good players, but also great players, and a lot of them are millionaires like some in the game that we watched last night between Spain and Brazil," he said.

What is this guy thinking?!! Is that 4 years which he played college ball while others were making money in low level leagues hurting him that bad?!! His dad is a billionare for god's sake!!
After the 2011's Asian Championship he was really leaning towards signing a contract with a Chinese team for some good money... Again a pretty strong sign that he is intrigued by making money ASAP

It is all BS I can write a book about everything behind the screens that you don't know about! All the basketball experts are showing videos "proof" of how effective his game was. The coach is a pawn to the number 14 on that team who absolutely HATES ak due to jealousy. Attention, contract amount and do many other things. There is so much corruption going on in the federation I don't even know where to begin.
He did make some mistakes but none if those had anything to do with what went in. Part of is bad luck a huge part of it actually. If he wasn't drafted at all he would be playing in the NBA right now.----1990 TM, You will always have a special place in our hearts
