Arsalan is not a scorer but he is everything else. He is a hustle guy. He is a glue guy. He defends very well. Was 2nd in china in steals.

i hear u about the players in Iran, but Arsalan is nothing like those guys. Arsalan is something special that u cant really describe in stats (although he average double doubles wherever he goes) but he is a player that every coach wants on their team. This is why sixers have kept him for so long...otherwise why are they wasting their time with him if they dont want him.

As far as Iranian players go, unfortunately its the product of our society under IR....kids dont see much future in any part of our society and they dont have the right teachers and coaches. They have the talent but it needs to be taught properly. they are way too sloppy on passes and often times they can play 1 good half but cant finish the game as they run out of stamina.

bottom line is, this sport is not very mature yet in our country. We still lack having enough basketball courts available for kids to grow an interest in it. the fact that we came this far is actually a surprise to me cuz i never see kids playing in Iran. Once we develop the infrastructure then we can get good, otherwise we're no where near ready

We really need players like Kazemi to step up. I wonder what Iran's basketball will be like when the golden generation of Haddadi-Bahrami-Kamrani comes to an end. The generation that bought us the first continental basketball titles , especially Haddadi who will be really hard to replace!

I will be going July 12. If anyone would like to join me PM me.

If smoking and laziness meant someone can't get into the NBA, the NBA would lose 80% of its players.

On a separate note, LOL at the national team coach invite him for TM!!! The same guy who threw him under the bus less than a year ago.
Persianbruin, the head coach for the national team changed. Its now Dirk Bauermann (former Germany and Poland national team coach).
I'm aware Kazemi and Mashhoun have history, but I know he loves Iran enough that he would still come to TM because TM is better with him.

i think this summer he should stay away from Iran all together. Its a very critical time for him to get a contract and start practicing with the team. He cant afford to go missing in september/october for stupid Asian cup. Haddadi missed a few preseason camps cuz of TM. But next year he can join for the olympics.

you know how an ice berg has only 1/8 of it visible!? So is all the problems that the TM mafia and mashhoon have with Arsalan. All those players and mashhoon are still there. They ruined his life and I am not gonna get into his personal life. While anyone can change their opinion, I would be shocked if he accepts it. As a matter of fact I was chatting with him when the Iranian team Melli coach called him 5 times.
As an Iranian I want him to play badly. As a friend/older brother I am gonna smack him on the back of the head if he does. Again I was the only one with him when he got the news that he was cut from TM. I was sitting in his hotel room watching college football. After the news I pointed to his white game worn jersey (against Spain and france) and said, "does this mean this is the last Iran jersey you Will have ever worn"? He said yes and I know it means a lot to you so you can have it.
I still have that jersey in my closet and I haven't framed it yet. I look at it from time to time and it gives me a bitter feeling. I hope that is not his last Iran jersey but knowing ALL of the inside stories, as someone who loves him and cares for him, I would NEVER EVER want him to wear that again. He just had put up with too much, 90% of it most people don't know about. I just don't see Arsalan playing in a team
With samad and a federation headed by mashhoon

Asian Cup this year is key though. The winner will qualify for the Olympics.

Most people who follow Iranian basketball know there are personal issues between most players and staff unforutnately.
Even Kamrani and Samad said somethings about each other a few weeks ago.

Regardless, I hope Arsalan gets to play for TM and TM qualifies for the Olympics.

I am just gonna leave you with this and I am gonna shut up after that. I have already said too much: One of the things kamrani said that was not published because higher ups urged him not to go public with it, was that samad asked all the players on the team to ..........

he should come out and call both samad and federation out!! what does he have to loose!! let people know what is going on. either way what you are saying they will not invite him back at least he will expose them. that is what i think he should do

him and the coach had a nice long chat. Super nice guy who knows him very well ever since his college days. Let's see what happens. Whatever decision he makes I support him 100% because I know it will be the right one.

Let him focus on his NBA basketball career! It's time for him to be selfish and get minutes in the NBA... to represent Iran in an incredible way in the best league in the world. Sixers can make the playoffs this year in a weak eastern conference if the coaching is right and chemistry clicks. Okafor and Noel is a no pushover front court. He can solidify himself as one of the key pieces in this franchise if he plays well and they go somewhere this season.

Arsalan has so much potential in this league if he's in the right environment, works hard, and stays healthy. Playing for Iran doesn't help any of those things. How is his relationship with HH?

arsalan will not say no to the NBA! That's a fact! But after summer league there is nothing to do for a couple of months. If he decides this is the right thing for him that's not gonna jeopardize anything. Personally I want him to at least not play for a year for TM. His relationship with hamed is good
