RIP Christian "Chucho" Benitez of the Ecuadorean National Football Team.

I'm sure many of you have already heard that unfortunately Christian Benitez aka Chucho, a forward for Ecuador, has passed away in Qatar from Cardiac Arrest caused by an untreated ruptured appendix. Apparently the medical staff in Qatar did not treat him when he complained of abdominal pain because of a language barrier( This is what the South American news reporters were saying). I thought it would be a nice gesture just to make a thread about him and show some of his highlights from his time with America in the Mexican League (He was actually the top scorer for the league last season). He was greatly loved by the Ecuadorean fans and it is a blow to the entire team. I hope they can push through this tragedy.

Also on a side note, what do you guys think of the Qatari medical staff and how this horrible situation could have been avoided if they actually did their jobs?

Here is a video of Chucho.

You don't need to ask such question in this forum. Our members have very similar vision when it comes to talk about Qatar.

I wasn't trying to imply anything racist towards Qatar if that is what you are referring to. I apologize if my question implies something of that nature.
