Absolutely terrible draw for all 3 of our wrestlers. Specially Laghgari in 84...

I would be happy with a single medal tomorrow with this draw.

Horrible draws for tomorrow. Hopefully we can sneak out with a medal or two. Lashgari has a brutal bracket and Esmailpour has a tough first match and also has to deal with having the Russian as well as the puerto rican gomez on his side of the bracket.

Its also important to note that lashgari might have to meet an Israeli wrestler. I doubt it will happen cause Israel is garbage and their wrestler wont make it that far but if it does, we will have to forfeit... I hope it doesnt come to that.

1, Reza Yazdani was absent for quiet sometime in FS 96kgs, and I thought Hamed Tatari did very well at the Team World Cup in Tehran earlier this year!
How come Khadem chose Yazdani over Tatari? How is Yazdani's form? Has he done well in national trials?
I am a big fan of Yazdani, but after I saw Tatari's good performance, and Yazdani's long absence, I am a lil bit surprised. Pls shed some Shogun-Ruan lights on this!
2, Too bad Sourian is not competing, if he would, and I am sure he would win Gold in Greco 55 kgs, then he would break Abdollah Movahed's FS record of 5 World Championship Gold Medals... and Sourian is still 28 years old... too bad.
I am extremely sad about Mohammad Bana's resigning due to his dissatisfaction with the Federation for breaking promises and not awarding the wrestlers with what they have been promised before the Olympics..... I wished there would be a chance we would havee the likes of Sourian, Abdevali, Norouzi, and Rezaei back in Greco....
How are these new Greco Wrestlers?
3, what if there is still a draw after 2nd period?
thanks in advance, and please when you answer, answer in a way that I can play with my Sibil with enjoyment of Shogun-Ruian knowledge.
                Feeteeleh Peecheengly yours,

                1) Well Yazdani had surgery after the olympics and he was off for over a year. Tatari did well at the world cup but then he lost at Asian Championships. They originally held a trial without Yazdani as he wasn't scheduled to make it but the winner of the trial tested positive for doping .. So then they held another trial with Yazdani, Tatari and 2 other wrestlers from the first trial. I think the trial was exactly a month ago, Yazdani beat Tatari 7-0 in 2mins and then beat the others to make the team.

                2) Yes it's a shame Bana resigned, he was really a king ! It's also a shame the Olympians are not competing but I'm sure they will be back next year. The new wrestlers, well some are not really new, like I said Aliakbari and Nematpour are the best on the team but even they are not heavy favourites for medals. The others have had bad results this year, Mahdi Aliyari performed well at the 2013 Universiade but in general I won't get my hopes up for GR this year.

                3) If a match finishes in a draw, the first criteria will be the the person who scored the biggest move last will win..

for eg. the score is 6-6 and wrestler "A" scored 3x 2point takedowns and wrestler "B" 1point pushout, a 2point takedown and 3 point throw, Wrestler "B" wins because he scored the highest move which was a 3 point throw

the 2nd criteria is number of cautions, for eg. The score is 4-4 and they both scored with the same moves last but wrestler "A" has more cautions, wrestler "B" wins

and lastly if they both scored the same points and have the same amount cautions, whoever scored last wins.

                  any pictures, highlights ?

boy these events are poorly covered by media. no wonder wrestling isnt popular and they almost kicked it off the olympics.

"Mehdi Taghavi has been through a tough few months. According to Iranian journalists in attendance Monday the two-time World Champion Taghavi lost his mother 10 weeks ago and is still dealing with the pain of her death."
