The WRs and RBs are some of the fastest athletes out there and remember they have to change direction all the time cuz the the opposing defense is going after them. Also yes they are carrying the ball but they are running for their lives. In soccer they are not going to stamp you to the ground! The line men are strong and fast. The QB has to see the entire field and throw the ball not where the receiver is but where the receiver will be. Its is tough man!

Also steve nash compared bball to soccer not american football. Hey I love soccer but american football opened my eyes and the media had no effect on me. I still hate baseball!
lol no one said its not tough. its not about some monster trying to take u down, we're talking speed, agility and talent on top of it. i like to see a comparison study using some real life players from each sport to prove this once and for all. although american football has hits, soccer actually has more pressure on the body. same with wrestling and swimming. people think strength and physicallity is all about taking hits or how much muscle u have but the pressure on the body is something else. swimming i heard has the most demanding of all sports, followed by wrestling and soccer is somewhere up there. and just cuz soccer ur not ALLOWED to hit, it doesnt mean it doesnt happen. collisions happen all the time and they change direction as well. u have seen many times people take kicks to the head or head on collisions or on your back or legs. those head collisions are as bad as getting tackled, actually its worse cuz u don thave so much protection. dont be so brain washed by american media i dont know why football fans always take offense to this argument and try hard to prove people wrong. no ones taking away from the sport or saying its not tough or they're not talented but each sport is different on its own.

well I am talking in terms of entertainment. One thing that most serious soccer fans don't realize is that a main part of why you like the game is the stories behind the game. The drama and everything else builds up the game. It is true that this is the case for all sports but if I turn on the TV right now and see two college football teams I know nothing about playing, I watch and enjoy it. But if I turn on the TV and see two latin america teams playing soccer, I am gonna change the channel cuz I am going to get bored. If it is champions league then I watch because I know the teams, the history the trash talk and all the hoopla behind it cuz that drives me towards watching the game.

^^ i have to admit though i believe i can play any professional sport and survive but nfl is something else, you can easily die and i am a big guy and even played a little high school football along with high school and college basketball and aa and aaa soccer so i am very athletic but nfl is something else! imagine you are running one way and 3 300 pound guys tackle you in the opposite direction. to me basketball players are the best athletes and many nfl players are also very good at basketball and vise versa.

so rezazadeh is not an athlete?

this guy is an athlete, don't be a jealous hater.

people who dont think american football is a sport are either anti-american or just straight out dumb. plain and simple.

Not calling you dumb Pouya jan, that was not intended at you.

this dude is a freakin BEAST ! None of these big guys in NFL can handle him. he's so strong on his feet like an old tree deep rooted in the ground. i really hope to see packers win the super bowl and have the first ever iranian lift that trophy.
