    2013 World Wrestling Championships - Budapest DAY 6 - Greco 60kg - 84kg - 96kg

    GR:

    55kg: Mohammad Faghiri
    60kg: Mohammad Nourbaksh
    66kg: Afshin Biabangard
    74kg: Hadi Alizadeh
    84kg: Taleb Nematpour
    96kg: Mahdi Aliyari
    120kg: Amir Aliakbari

Today we have 3 wrestlers in 60, 84 and 96kg..

In 60kg Mohammad Nourbakhsh has a hard draw, I think he has no chance for a medal. He has Olympic Silver medalist Revaz Lashkhi (GEO) and many other good wrestlers in his bracket.

In 84kg one of our only medal hopes Nematpour has a decent draw, he can medal but it wont be easy, he has Venezuela first then probably Belarus and then probably Turkey.. Fingers crossed for him

In 96kg Mahdi Aliyari has a very hard first match againt Artur Aleksanyan (ARM) 2012 Olympic bronze medalist, they wrestled at this years Universiade and Aliyari did very well, he lost 3-3 in a very tight match. Aleksanyan is the best wrestler in his bracket so if he beats him then at least on paper he should be able to beat everyone else to make the final but I wont make any predictions.

Wow 2012 Olympic Medalist Revaz Lashkhi just lost to Japan in 60kg, Japanese are always dangerous in lighter weights.

NEMATPOUR INTO THE FINAL!!!! The gold medal match might be between 2 Iranians. Nematpour for us and Tahmesebi who now wrestles for Azerbeijan

2 Iranians in the final !!

Taleb Nematpour (Lor) vs Saman Tahmasebi (Kord)

Aleksanyan (ARM) also made the final in 96, Aliyari also won his first match in the repechage, he has to win 2 more matches I think to reach the bronze match.
