Japan came back from 2-0 against the Netherlands to tie the game 2-2.

South Korea beat Switzerland( a top seed in the world cup ) 2-1....their next game? against Russia on tuesday.

Our next game? Lebanon

To be fair, it isn't our fault that AFC scheduling is such a brainfart...but I still have faith that with a proper camp and preparation 2-3 months before the world cup, and atleast 2 good friendlies we can have a good showing in the world cup.

Its up to us to get in the top 3 in the Asian cup repeatedly so instead of playing meaningless games against Thailand and Lebanon, we get to play the dutch and the swiss

^^it also does not help to have Honda, Nissan, Sony, Samsung, Kia, etc........ pay big money to sponsor the Japanes team and Korean team!!! the money these companies make from commercials and ads during the game is enough for big teams to play friendly games with Japan and Korea

In all fairness, Kia, Samsung and Nissan do all operate branches in Iran as well. They just choose not to sponsor team melli because it would help our country's national team.

This happens alot in International sports where companies only help their national teams of their own nations.
E.g. Vauxhall sponsoring the British national teams, Hyundai sponsoring south korea, Konami supporting the Japanese national team (both mens and womens), Ralph Lauren support the US Olympic teams and many more...

What we need to do is to get Iranian companies to support team melli!

Why doesn't team melli have sponsorships from companies like Iran Khodro which sells in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Syria and Turkmenistan
or Mahan Air which in 2013 expanded its service to China and Germany
or Iran cell who are looking to show their "potential in the international markets" ??

These companies are expanding internationally, but they are not supporting our international sports teams in the process, unlike foreign international companies who sponsor their home nations.

Although I don't usually complain about the IFF or politics but this is just a few of the IFF's failures. They arn't helping out the sport in the country enough!

No decent team is willing to play iran either for political reasons or no budget by iff
And even any team would 3 months before world cup is toooo late,
