Rahmani is the best OM we have now. I don't understand how people can only think about it to invite HASEGAWA, he is no iranian for me, same with Davari, Makani Haghighi and Ahmadi are all better than Davari !

LOLLLLL @ ppl comparing rahmani to hasegawa!!!!

baba rahmani has flopped in his first two opportunities with TM. to add to that hasegawa is taller, faster, and stronger. rahmani only has one advantage, which isn't even by a lot which is his play making abilities. other than that hasegawa is head and shoulders above him.

and for those morons who keep saying he isn't Iranian, you can keep lying to yourself but the facts are right infront of you and he is half Iranian whether you like it or not. he always has been and always will be Iranian......as much as that may pain you people.

Exactly! So Hasegawa can still join us.

He pretty much said no in a polite way. He said in Japan he can't have dual nationality, and he's not willing to give up his Japanese passport. which means there's no way he's joining.

Do you guys realize how strong our midfield would become if Hasegawa joins? Imagine this line-up, probably the strongest midfield Iran will ever have within the past decade. 3-6-1 with three central defenders, Nekounam and Andranik to help them out, Hasegawa as a centre midfielder, Masoud as the architect and two lions as wingers with our king up front...

Sign me up. I don't think there's any chance CQ would use 3 defenders, but in theory this is a sweet concept. There's probably not enough time for the players to gel at this point, but with Hasegawa in, and some WC practice...we'll take on anyone at the Asian Cup.

My dream now for TM is more that CQ stays, 1-2 more of our players go to the Europe after the WC, and we win the Asian Cup.

Exactly mate. In fact, it's a great formation and Italy uses it too. Andranik and Nekounam will play a defensive role so basically we still have 5 defensive players. Our midfield can feed the striker enough if you look at their qualities. A good mix of experience, variety, quality and young blood. But like you said, our team has been playing with the usual 4-3-2-1 for 3 years now so I don't think CQ will change his tactics.

Hasegawa will probably not join this World Cup, but he still can at the Asian Cup and help us out in the 2018 WCQ! He's only 26.

Not wanting a player from another country playing for your country is far from racist.

We are Iranians and only Iranian players should play for our national team! Just becuase someone throws themselves over the cliff, should we do it too?!! Internation games have honestly not as exciting as they used to be 15-20 years ago simply because teams are now bringing naturalized players. Its one thing if a player is born in one country and decides to play, or another just to give them citizenship and invite them to national team.
