Only a handful of cities in canada that can host a major international tournament, toronto is one of them. vancouver is another and montreal /quebec perhaps. the rest of them probably have nothing

True, I don't think we have any 45000 + football only stadia which is a requirement for the World Cup.
Our biggest outdoor stadium is Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, if they upgraded that it would be a good start.
Regina (yes, I know Saskatchewan is basically nowhere) is getting a very fancy stadium too.

On the plus side, infrastructure here is already miles ahead of countries like Brazil or Russia so expenses would primarily be for the stadiums.

I want Canada to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Everyone knows qatar doesn't deserve the World Cup. They are not a footballing nation. Money shouldn't buy everything, honestly.

I think if Canada gets underway soon with their preparation, one could even say that they might get the right to host 2022 instead. Coming out and speaking in the media about it is the first step. They have 7 years to prepare and build for the World Cup.

Canada deserves to host it more than qatar does.
