I am not a big specialist of Basket but a win against Egypt is doable. Winning against Spain will be nearly impossible.
But what about Serbia, Brazil and France (without their stars)? I mean contrary to football, we are playing big teams frequently (olympics, world chamionship) so we should be more prepared to upset some favourites.

We just don't have enough quality players. Afagh and Kamrani are pretty wet 3 point shooters and Samad isn't bad either.

are you also going? if yes, also make sure to book your tickets for the alhambra if you want to visit the place. you need tickets and its better to secure them in advance.

asking for even 1 win is too much. last time we only had 1 win and it was against tunisia. basketball is not like soccer where weaker teams can surprise the big teams. simply because there are so many points being scored the weaker teams can only hold the scoreline for so long before fatigue catches up and the better team wins at the end.

im just hoping for a good display. i want them to play hard and haddadi and kazemi need to lead the way and take charge. this will be kazemi's last chance at NBA in my opinion.

im sorry saeed jan but i have to disagree. even though egypt is our last game its a must win. finishing last would be a disappointment.
spain, france and brazil (depending on how many nba players they bring along. without varejao, nene etc. the case changes) are really strong and i don't expect a win there. but to be honest idk how strong the current team of serbia is... lets wait and hope for the best.

but i agree 100% on the rest! the most important thing is a strong display with the right mentality!

i remember 14 years ago at a get iranian get together some people were talking about basketball and how bad the iran basketball team is compare to Team USA and we wondered what would happen if TM played vs Team USA. lo and behold TM played in the world championship in Turkey against Team USA and lost by 33 pts if i am not mistaking. but either way it was a much improvement from years ago.

it is good to see iranian teams competing in world championships

This could be the only time we could see 4 team sports in World cup in the same year

As i Said it will most likely be eurosport if not any company have bought up the rights :P. And boom all of scandinavia will show it on Viasat (KHAK time to get via play just for the world cup!)

on a side note: Paul George of Team USA had a horrible leg fracture today, he will miss the world cup for Team USA.
