    NHL Playoffs Yeah Baby

Any Hockey fans here? in particular any Montreal Canadienns or Vancouver Canucks fans here? if yes please come forth and express yourselves, NOW!!!!

Oh man today's Montreal game against Boston was a heartbreaker, leading the game 1-3 until the last 9 minutes of the game, and then bad luck after bad luck, thus losing it 5-3, the series is now tied 1-1. Hope to see them demolish the Bruins, their notorious black cat in the playoffs!

    Go Habs, Go...

The hockey universe is Toronto. The NHL playoffs are meaningless without the Toronto Maple Leafs. This is the true team for all hockey lovers.

Bar none, my most important, beloved professional sports team is the Toronto Maple Leafs. I bleed blue, I cry blue. Every day I wake up, I pray the leafs return to dominating the sport that this franchise made what is today.

Down with MTL, Down with BOS...Down will the entire NHL, as the NHL without TML is like the World Cup without Brazil!

        GO LEAFS GO!

With all due respect, your passionate love and devotion to the Maple Leafs Blues is warmly admired, however the all time NHL legendary franchise without a shadow of the doubt is Montreal Canadienns.

So happy that we knocked out the Boston bruins. What a bunch of annoying fans they have. It will be fun to rub it in their face for couple of days. Eastern conference final here we come baby ! The city is absolutely electric everybody is feeling the playoff vibe !

This Bruins-Habs series defined the term unlucky from a Boston stand-point. How many times did we hit the pipe again?

By wins...sure. But where was hockey "born"? Where is the hockey hall of fame? Where did Lord Stanley, Conn Smythe, and other pioneers of the sport come from? Where is hockey always in the air? Montreal (nah, while they bread great players, they never developed the game outside of the Francophone community)...no...Detroit (hockey town became an adopted name in the 90s)...hell no...NY...maybe after bball (you pick which one)...Boston (dream on...even Orr is from the Toronto area)...Chicago (well they have only recently put a dent in the hockey world)...

Toronto is wear hockey was born, and it's where it's greatest memories, moments, and hardware (trophies/awards) live and rest.

                  GO LEAFS GO!

That's nice ... "The first organized [hockey] game was played on March 3, 1875, in Montreal." (wiki) NHL: Founded on November 26, 1917 in Montreal.

Yep and it stayed in Montreal. Toronto exported the game we know today.

You claim that hockey was never "developed outside the francophone community" when the people who developed modern hockey in Montreal were mostly Anglophone Montrealers. It was "born" in Montreal, not Toronto. "Greatest memories/moments" is meaningless. Whose memories? Leafs fans?

I don't claim to know much about the history of hockey but everything I've read since your first comment just seems to reinforce the fact that most of the important developments seem to have occurred in Montreal, and the only thing I can agree with is the "hardware" bit. I suggest you read the history section of the "Ice Hockey" article on wikipedia.

Montreal vs LA Kings would be a dream finals for me, though that looks like a far-fetched wish as Montreal has been on a decline with its shaky and sloppy games against NY Rangers!

Yeah that would be a cool finals to watch as a neutral
