Sex Ban of Teams in World Cup

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/soccer...172212829.html-Bosnia and Herzegovina: They have an absolute sex ban while in Brazil thanks to coach Safet Susic, who wants military discipline from his squad. But he did add, "They can find another solution, they can even masturbate if they want." Maybe he's hoping that limitation breeds creativity both on and off the pitch.
-Chile: No sex and no soft drinks.
-Brazil: Players are allowed to have "normal sexual intercourses" but sexual "acrobatics" have been denied.
Nigeria: Former national team captain and coach Christian Chukwu has recommended a sex ban to current coach Stephen Keshi. "In my days as a player even as a coach, I made it a point of duty to stay away from women because sex has a lot of spiritual things attached to it," says Chukwu. It's unclear if Keshi will take this advice, though.
Not against sex at the World Cup
    -The United States
-France: Coach Didier Deschamps has said he won't completely prohibit players from having sex, but "it all depends on when, how and how much." When the press pointed out to him that there is a brothel just 500 meters from France's World Cup base, Deschamps threatened to keep "files" on the journalists who go there, just as they do with the players.
-England: Roy Hodgson hasn't taken a definitive position on the matter yet, but when he led Switzerland to the 1994 World Cup, he initially banned sex, and then changed his mind before the tournament began. Switzerland finished second in Group A that year, just ahead of the USA.
-All other teams, presumably: The fact that this is still an issue to consider in the year 2014 is more than a little weird.

I sense some sarcasm... however sorry to disappoint.

I just found it so interesting the lengths teams(coaches) go to control players personal lives. However God forbid Iran did something similar to this because its probably the government having some sick hidden agenda behind the scenes. (mind you i'm in no favor of the government either)

I think a sex ban is a great idea, then players can focus on whats important.

Every professional sportsman know that having sex will exhaust you to point zero. Everyone who works out at the gym can confirm that too.
It's a great idea to ban it for the world cup.
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

nop. to he who said having sex exhaust you to point zero.

the reason why coaches are not allowing players to have sex is not physical but to keep the discipline in camp.

imagine players going out to find girls at night spots. do you really want that in your camp?

An athlete can have all the sex he wants in his hometown with wife etc even a day or two before matches. nothing wrong with that. no club bans footballers from having sex because it reduces them to point zero. that is absurd.

I don't think it's as absurd as you make it out to be, I also read somewhere that a lot of boxers don't have sex for *insert correct length of time* before a fight, I don't know how much weight it holds but there you go. There must be some sort of correlation, maybe not necessarily with the actual act of having sex but yeah.

If you are adressing to me then just pm me or have the balls to say my name directly Haji.
I won't discuss my private sex life here with you and ask you to be mature here or simply be quite.

It's you who obviously never worked out properly or done sports.

Having sex doesn't mean to lose focus and discipline. wtf actually.
Of course they can have sex at their hometown but it should make sense to you too that a tournament differs from weekly league games, no?!

It's simply because sex will exhaust your body and especially legs AND your mind: because sex reliefs and relaxes which is actually good but a certain amount of stress and agression is simply needed in such big tournaments.

That's proven. That's common sense. If you deny that and rather want to insult me (and others like in the other thread calling us retarded) you deserv nothing but a ban.

Approved by Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine in Ottawa.
Approved by Linford Christie - former jamaican/british sprinter who said that whenever he had sex before tournaments (although it was forbidden) he felt exhausted and had heavy legs and didn't perform good at all. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linford_Christie

Alexander Olshanietzky israelian sportsdoc says that on the other side, women perform better when they have sex prior to tournaments.
