It is absolutely amazing how good we have become in volleyball. Brazil is an absolute world power in this sport and we nearly beat them a few days ago and we just beat them today. So 1-1 against a giant in the sport. I am very very proud of the boys. Just shows how much potential Iran has in the field of sports.

I honestly believe we can become a legitimate power in a wide variety of sports with the proper management, resources and organization.

P.S.

Its too bad that too few members check the international sports forum. Iran's participation in sports other than football goes unnoticed too often because this sub-forum is rarely visited by vast majority of PFDC.

iran will have 6 games in tehran over the course of 3 weeks. we have to collect a lot of points from these 6 games at home with our own fans. hopefully people will come out and support the team at the azadi stadium. it would really huge if we can get out of this group. if we get out of this tough group we have a good chance of going far this year as other groups are jokes

Big win, Iran has truly made leaps and bounds in volleyball. You could see in the players eyes that after they tied it up 2-2 that they had so much confidence and knew that they were going to win the 3rd set. Hopefully Iran wins the final game against Brazil in a few days time and finishes 3-1 against one of the best teams in the world.
