Australia is the first Asian team to be out World Cup.

But they played two very good matches, especially this one against Holland. This Australia team will definitely be a contender for the AC in 6 months at home soil.

if spain beat chile, and in the last game, australia beat spain and holland beat chile, then holland will be 9 points and spain, australia and chile all with 3 points and it will come down to goal difference if im not mistaken?? so i dont think they are 100% out yet..

yeah i agree to some extent

we need to keep a balance of beautiful football and good defense, we can't just close down on the defense for 90 minutes and expect to move on

Australia getting a lot of deserved praise on the net right now. They are favourites for the Asian Cup in January, IMO. On home soil, as well.

I honestly don't see any positives in parking a bus in front of our goal for 3 games, getting 1-2 points out of it and calling the campaign a "success". Not only does it limit our player's abilities to showcase their skills but also as a fan, it doesn't bring any sort of entertainment. When you have players like Dejagah who need space and an open style of football to produce, the system hinders his skills. CQ tactic would be fine with Argentina, but not sure about playing like that vs. Nigeria/Bosnia.

Aussie's played superb today. If I were an Australian I'd be damn proud of their team, regardless of the result today.
