Australia did what Iran has never done, which is to play shoulder to shoulder with one of the best teams in the world in the world cup.
The chasm between our football and Australia's football is now apparent to all.
The ball control, passing and finishing of Australia's display yesterday was something that Iranian football is not even capable of.

We are lucky to be grouped with the weakest team in the WC (Nigeria) and the Aussies have played 2 of the very best (Chile and Holland).

I will take my words back if we can perform anywhere close to the Australians vs Argentina

Its Asia, teams are too inconsistent to do anything well all the time.
Just watch, in Asia Cup they'll play one amazing game and then play like garbage the next. Even Japan, who I thought would be amazing this World Cup really disappointed.

People like you play sports for the fun, for the girls, for whatever ulterior motivation you can find. Growing up, I hated having people like you on my team. Today, when I play in local leagues, I continue to hate having people like you on my team. And at work, I dread the thought that people with your losing mentality could inhabit the same space as me.

You are the worst kind of sports fan and teammate. The one who is too selfish to understand that the purpose of a team is to win for your teammates and your fans. With a mentality like that you are a stain and a hindrance, in any endeavor you might be in.

I hope to never hear anyone -- in my career or in my sports -- to say they showed up to look good, but are okay losing. Screw off then -- the rest of us here, we're in it to win it.

Even New Zealand managed 3 draws while parking the bus and at least scored in the last world cup. 30% possession against Argentina compared to Australia with 50% against the Dutch and scoring 2 goals. When drawing Nigeria 0-0 is something of a success you know the fans have very low expectations.

FIFA ratings only reflect on statistics and not on footballing knowledge. Win, lose or draw its not how you play the game much like how people here don't care how Team Melli plays as long as they can get through to the next round even it means it does in a way that they can never hope to win the cup.
