Which Asian team of the 4 do you believe under performed in the WC so far?

Australia; I don't see anything wrong with losing 3-2 to the Netherlands. As for the 3-0 vs Spain, based on Spain's performance in this world cup as well as how Iran played vs Argentina, I am not sure what to make out of it.
Japan; I was expecting Japan to do much better, and wonder how the other 3 asian teams would've done if they had been placed in their group C.
Iran: only one goal conceded in 180 minutes, but also 0 goals scored. We may have the best defense so far in the games but we do lack finishers. where does this put us? Not sure but certainly not on the bottom
Korea; based on the goals conceded by the Koreans perhaps the title should go to them.


But obviously we got one more game to go for 3 of the 4 teams, it will be interesting to see how they'll do...

Australia was the worst (except against NLD) followed by Japan (still Japan can be qualified).
I was very disappointed by Korea when Koreans lost against Algeria. But Korea's first match wasn't bad.

Japan. Losing to Ivory Coast after scoring first, and not defeating a 10 man Greek team (10 men for an entire half).

Australia played in a much tougher group than Japan.

Korea were the most embarrassing. Australia at least have the consolation of a memorable world cup goal.

To me it is honestly a 3 way tie as all 3 are total embarrassments and the only team who has been admirable is Iran.

Japan massively underperformed in a weak group. They couldn't even beat a 10 man Greece and it was that point for that match that allowed Greece to advance for the first time ever.

Korea were something even lower than embarrassing in their 4-2 defeat to Algeria, a team who had not scored 2 or more goals in a WC for 32 years. To allow such a team to score 4 and set a national record is beyond embarrassing. Korea is also in the easiest group. Russia is actually quite terrible but I can see how they won their qualification group as Portugal is pure garbage this time around. And Belgium is by no means anywhere near a world cup wining calibre team.

And than there is Australia. Yes they were in a very tough group but to allow 9 goals in 3 games is the definition of embarrassing. They also finished the tournament without even a single point. So 0 points, 9 goals conceded, -6 goal differential = very embarrassing representation for Asia.

The only hope left for Asia to leave this WC with at least a win is Iran. Belgium will spank Korea as there is no doubt about that. Hopefully TM manages to grab the 3 points and ends up in the round of 16. That would go far to help mitigate Asia's horrible showing at this wc.

Japan played awful in this WC. Zacherroni is gone, and the Japanese performance embarrassed Asia. 4-1 against a 2nd Colombian team, 2-1 against Ivory Coast (ok), but 0-0 against a shit 10 man Greece team are sub par showings.

Pretty sad for how hard the Japanese have been preparing for this match with all the money and friendlies.

all 4 were crap,, we can try to make ourself feel happy that we conceded 1 less goal or our opponent was more difficult but at the end of the day, all asian teams put a weak performance in majority of the games, only got 1 point at best, and ended dead last in their groups..

From all Asian teams, Australia had the toughest group. Chile, Holland and Spain! That's like saying we got 0 points from Argentina, but everyone knows we put our heart and soul into, and could've won! Same with Australia, who played very well against Chile and Holland but lost. 0 points is just a number.
