I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

Yeah, it was Fred. I missed the line-ups at the beginning and honestly didn't even know he was on the field until the end of the half. That's how invisible he was. Not to mention they took a lot of crap because of him taking that dive in the 1st game with minimal contact.

What's up with all this anti-brazilian / argentinian and south american posts here?

How long will you folks suck up to european teams such as Germany and holland with many of them being from the southern hemisphere while the europeans getting the credit? This game is being held in south america in a country deeply in love with football, yet you guys cheer for the "schwarzkopf heating" germans????

yes we all knew / had a feeling Brazil would lose but what do we gain from such a loss? other than destruction of brazilian children's hopes and dreams?

And Argentina didn't crush a dream of 80 million Iranians?

1-0 is not a crush. we weren't expecting to win the cup or even make it to the quarterfinals....

it would be a crush if we lose wrestling tournament in worst possible way in iran to lets say the Bulgarians

It's heartbreaking when you lose 1-0 in the dying minutes of the game when you had a decent chance to draw or even win the game. And a clear penalty was not given.

I don't think there's anything wrong with supporting zee Germans, or any other non-Iranian team for that matter. As long as you aren't a bandwagon fan like some people who throw their Brazil shirts in the bin and say "embarassing" after a big loss. It's fans like that that I can't stand to be around. Either support a team or don't, doesn't matter who, just don't flip flop back and forth based on them winning or losing because that shows you aren't a true supporter but just want to follow the winning crowd.

Iran's loss to Argentina is not even comparable to yesterdays game. Not even by an atom. Iranians were partying in the streets after we lost to Argentina because we expected to get dominated but turned out the world was saying Argentina got lucky that Iran didn't win.

While I do agree with what you say in some extent, I have a question. You didn't felt bad at all after Messi's goal? I very much doubt it. I may be an emotional wrack, but I can barely watch any highlights of that game without getting angry / sad because we were close, so close.

Our World Cup campaign would have been different if we tied Argentina. That's for sure.

I felt really bad for the Brazilians as I said earlier, but such is football and as the French say C'est la vie. You play like men, you lose like men... you play like little boys and you get whooped around.

More or less every nation has experienced that in their footballing history in the last few decades and there's always tears afterward, but you regroup, rebuild and come back stronger - Brazil's no exception.

Persianking, please make some room for me. I am coming to Germany from Toronto for the party tonight.
lol you are always welcome here, but German fans are pretty boring and "plastic" - maybe I am a hater though. Let's hope the dutch win it, too bad the final is on a Sunday.

I have Saudi Arabian neighbors where I live, they were clearly not happy yesterday. Perhaps visions of 2002?

Glad you and your family are okay Bachelot jaan. An 80 mph rollover is very serious.

As far as Brazil boys and girls, the more I think about it, the more I think that Brazilians threw the game! The reason: pretty much every Brazilian I talked to down there thought that Brazil was a pretty shitty team without Neymar.

They had very little respect or sympathy for the rest of the team and when they did mention someone else, it was Silva. Neymar's pictures were everywhere and I recall thinking how do the other players feel about this.

This may have been a big bilakh to their fans for not believing in the rest of them, with those two players gone - a sort of, you didn't believe in us and we proved you right thing if you will.
