They say doing your research is crucial when it comes to saving penalties, and Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero was more than prepared ahead of the World Cup shoot-out against Holland last night.

@At Bachelot. Yes van Gaal was Romero's coach at AZ, but he was joking when he said I learned him how to stop penalties. (Also confirmed by him self)

@hvz, even if the ball would have gone in, it wouldn't have counted because it reflected if Vlaar again.

KC, you got all 7 German matches wrong!! I hope you are not a betting man. I guess you are not a German fan even though they beat the Arabs 8-0. Germany champion du Monde.

Maybe in 2018... but wait, that is Putin's territory. He was in Maracana today to claim the Cup from the Brazilian president.

By the way speaking of predictions... that UAE psychic camel, Shahin, got all three of Germany's last three games wrong.

He will be turning 31 years old during the tournament. That is actually a very good age for captaining a side... I give Messi one more chance for 2018. However, let's not forget that American teams typically don't shine on the European continent.
