    Iranian news reporters are shamefully tabloid style - even from the offices agencies. They had the meetings today. Iran will not be kicked out of the tournament. They're actually very happy with Iran's hosting mostly cause of the fans and that they finally got the HD broadcasting working.

      Well, they would have every right to throw Iran out for not providing access to stadiums for women. Just because a bunch of misogynistic a$$holes are making the rules in our country, it doesn't mean the rest of the world should start playing by those rules.

      Having said that, after this stellar performance by TM in the WL, I sincerely hope all our sports federations and Rohani's government come to their senses and fight hard with the conservative scum to finally allow our women into stadiums.

      There's absolutely no reason women in Iran should be treated this way and if Iranian men are too bi-gheyrat to have a say about it on their own, let the pressure come from elsewhere, somewhere, anywhere...

        It's a matter of time. It will happen. Volleyball federation head has been pushing for this. Even Ahmadinejad was trying to get this to happen.

          Hope you're right bro. It looks like they made Iran's participation in the 2015 edition conditional on women being allowed into the arena, so we have one year and a pretty damn excuse to make it happen - it was so nice seeing so many Iranian girls/women in the arena in Florence today, being happy and supporting their team. I really wish they started showing these scenes in Iran...

            i read somewhere that parts of the game were censored because of the iran female fans who were for the most part holding signs protesting i.r ban on women entering stadiums and because of the many shiro khorshid flags distributed among fans.

              this news has been making its rounds, i doubt it will happen this time to iran but for fivb world league 2015 iran could be in jeopardy if they do not get their act together!! fivb is pushing the issue hard and fast, and we might see IRI have to bow down to the rules and the female rights or we will be kicked out of fivb
              IRI = FAILED

                TBH bro, I didn't see any of that today when the feed wasn't from IRIB and nothing was censored. There were a lot of cuts in the Russia game, but you'd occasionally catch a frame of a cute Iranian girl cheering. That's all I saw today too - everyone was just cheering and supporting TM as 99% of the fans did in Brazil. I think for the most parts, everyone is sick and tired of the politics and don't really want to bring any bad vibes with them to the arena/stadium.

                  i did not watch the game, just finished watching the last 10 min of the game, did anyone notice the banner that said something along the lines of " support iranian women ........."

                  the iranian women have been very vocal for their cause as they should be, i do not see why these IRI kos khols do not allow women in the stadium.

                  if the men are doing something else they should be the ones punished and not allowed in stadium not the women, ozgaala

                    Women used to be able to enter volleyball arenas for years up until a couple of years ago. When IR news agencies started posting pics of "bad hejab" women fans all over their websites that led to akhoonds' outrage and forced women out.
