ya u guys laugh now but u saw how pissed guardiola became after he got his ass kicked in MLS all stars game...he walked away without shaking hands. if MLS all stars which never play with each other can beat a world class bayern team that just won world cup...then u cant deny that they are on their way.

well said. that is the only thing. i dont expect players in their prime to come over but i can see situations like when zlatan wanted to leave barca or even milan....he would head to MLS instead of milan or psg. these MLS teams will soon compete with the big spenders.

just the salaries alone in US sports market beats the hell out of any of the top euro teams. what do high salary players in UEFA get paid? $ 10-15 mil per year? thats like average salaries for NFL, MLB, NBA players...once MLS gets to that level and they start offering high salaries, most euro teams wont be able to compete

MLS will become what UAE has been to our players

baba stop kidding now Here was Bayern's starting line up. Gk- Starke (2 league appearances). Rb - Rafinha (28 league appearances). CB - Martinez (18 league appearances). LB- Alaba (28 league appearances) MF - Hojberg (7 league appearances) MF - Gaudino (youth player last season). MF - Rode (17 appearances of frankfurt) MF - Bernat (32 appearances for valencia). FW - Pizarro (17 appearances). FW - Shaqiri (17 appearances) FW - Lewandowski (33 appearances). Dont kid yourself the BEST XI of MLS beat Bayern with 9 key bayern players missing (neur, dante, ribery , robben, Boateng, Gotze, Lahm, Muller, and Schweinstegier). Lets not forget 8 years ago PERSEPOLIS not IPL XI, but persepolis only lost to a strengthened bayern team 2-1 and probably deserved a draw.

i also believe that MLS will become a great league in the near future. there is lot of money to be made and great infrastructures that US has will help MLS. just look how far MLS has come since 1995.

What a stupid opinion, MLS become the fifth league in the world? Nobody in Europe watch that league. Mexican League is much better, be happy if MLS reach the top 20 of the world. You saw Beitashour? He did not even played a minute for Team Melli at the WC.

i dont see la liga and premier league goin over to portugese, french, russian, dutch or whatever other crap leagues u think are above MLS. what u guys dont understand is something called MONEY....american sports market by far beats any other country. so yes they willl make soccer in this country a top league simply cuz of how much money they've generated over the years just by friendlies. soon many of your favorite players will play in MLS and u will follow them.

wtf does beitashour have to do with players like pirlo, xavi, kaka, david villa coming here? lol

its a no brainer to choose US living over Russia. those countries have 1-2 teams where as in US it'll be multiple teams. NYC FC is a new team with same owners as man city, so yea they'll be pouring money. beckam and lebron james are bringing a team to miami. barcelona is thinking of having an extension team here. orlando and portland got new teams. the list goes on and on. face it...like i said one day most of the players u follow will come to this league and not so much at an old age, xavi, villa, kaka can still play in top teams in europe

The Qatari/UAE leagues also serve as a retirement home for washed up European players.
Guess they must be top leagues too, huh?

How is the women's MLS doing in the US these days? I know their women's national team is top-tier in the world. My uncle said one time, this is because American women are very manly, lol.

I agree with Ozone. There are two MAJOR obstacles to the development of MLS into a worthy league and those are salary caps and lack of a promotion/relegation system. Until those two issues are resolved, MLS is not going to be anything special regardless of how much talent they attract.
