Like I said before, where you finish in these tournaments is very important for world ranking. As much as I like to believe Velasco motivated his team to win for Iran, in reality they only did it for themselves. Coincidentally, this actually makes it harder for Iran to catch Argentina in world ranking because they are positioned to finish about the same place as they did 4 years ago. All said and done, Iran is going to gain 50 points in world ranking and will finally be in top 10 in world ranking.
