These boys have been fantastic and deserve huge praise and further investment in their careers. To think how much money we waste on football.. Ali Daei's salary probably exceeds the entire volleyball teams salaries at their clubs. That alone makes me feel ill.

So how many of our boys play in Iran and how many outside? What vball leagues are good? I've heard mixed reviews about Iran's vball infrastructure and league...general sentiments?

Our TM volleyball deserve high praise. They surpassed expectations and put themselves on the
map in the international among the world's elite.

The league's quality and pay are all generally quite high. The Italian and Russian leagues are much better, but the Iranian league pays well enough and is at a good enough level that most of our players stay in Iran (and most of them have offers from good European clubs).

The super league is also very well managed. For example they truly follow their own regulations in terms of team finances and infrastructure. They hold back teams from coming up to the league if they can't guarantee salaries, youth programs, sponsorship... where as in our football league its all khar too khar.

Anyone got a stream for the Iran - Russia game?

                EDIT: here is one http://live2sport.com/iran-vs-russia...re-prediction/

What a point won by Iran! But not enough, Russia won the first set 25/19

I strongly recommend them to go abroad and play in foreign leagues to developp

2/0 for Russia. Iran reached more or less the level of top teams but still lack somethings to overtake them

Various players have been rumoured to go to Europe this season, Italy's Verona are apparently interest in a double swoop for Marouf and Ebadipour. Whilst, Mirzajanpour was alleged to have signed for Fenerbache in Turkey - but later signed for Paykan. Lastly, Mousavi has over the years had a lot of interest from European clubs in Italy and Turkey.

Let's see what happens after the Asian Games, with any luck a couple players may move abroad.

Don't understand why Iran always smash the ball even when all the opposite team is jumping in front of them to block the ball. Just try something different, a lob for example to surprise tue opposite teams.

Not smashing with all their force without thinking, and praying for it

The paykan story is sad... We should give our team a rest, we don't care about these asian games. Let a younger team be sent for these asian games to gain experience.

Before Germany, they didn't play like that. They also made soft balls when they should have smashed.

They can also smash after 2 touches and not after 3 touches to surprise to opposite teams too.

We look so bad against Russia, Germany, France twice (specially the first time). Still plenty of work to do
