I strongly recommend them to go abroad and play in foreign leagues to developp

The reason why I asked, was because Marouf said they don't do well against unknown opponents. But to me this is a stretch, since Iranian vball has been active for many years at the top level...and really can you play every country in every tournament?

For this reason, I really am wondering do Iranians go abroad to play, or do foreigners come to Iran to play. A domestic league is great but if our players really want to learn what other systems and players are like, they need to go abroad.

Don't forget guys that as good as we've become, our team still lacks the depth of other teams in terms of player quality, meaning there's a huge gap between our starters and subs.

In longer tournaments like this, the main team's getting more and more tired with each game and that is obviously working against us, not being able to replace them during the game with a similar quality player.

Still, I'm VERY proud of what was accomplishes in this tournament.

agree bi honar jan at the end our players were really tired because of that lack in depth. they were wonderful over all and made us all proud i hope they receive a champion's reception when they return.

Iran will top this in the next Olympics. I'm convinced of that. Now they've garnered the experience and know what's it like to play in such coveted and long tournaments.

So, Poland won the whole thing with 3-1 against Brazil in the final. Congrats. Germany became 3rd with a 3-0 victory against France.Iran finishes 6th.

I've lived and worked in Poland and absolutely love the country..... So happy they won it if it wasn't going to be Iran....and at the great Stadion Naradowy in front of passionate support as well.

Poland is very similar in many ways history wise.....fascinating nation. Chuffed for their people !
