    Iran @ Asian Games 2014

Despite our team omid crashing out, there's still plenty of Iranian athletes gunning for the medals. Let's use this thread to update ourselves with Iran's progress in the Asian games.

Iran currently has 1 gold and 2 silver from our women in shooting
Iran is 9th in the standings.

Our Volleyball team, wrestlers, weightlifters, basketball team, and taekwondo will also bring some medals so keep an eye out for them.

Other potential areas for Iran to get but not as likely as the previous mentioned sports include athletics, kabadi, judo, karate, handball,

not soo easy.. his countrymate Taghian, who is a an excellent lifter is also there!

maybe Taghian, who is now in the same weight class as Rostami (who was off from weightlifting for a year) will collect the Gold in 85 kgs and Rostami behind him with Silver.

Either way I hope we collect both Gold and Silver in 85 kgs...

Wasn't Rostami a favorite for gold? I don't know why but Asian Games 2014 website isn't working for me but according to this he got silver.

                          EDIT: it's true http://www.tasnimnews.com/English/Home/Single/508992

Apparently there's a new young 20 year old in this 85kg division now managing to break the Asian Games record for his first senior career gold.

rostami had same result as he had in olympics, in other words he did good. the chinese was either on doping or he was too strong for anyone
