"Albania has been a country for a very short time and its borders never extended beyond its present day borders, even during the other two very short periods in history when it could be considered a country."
So, you not only choose to ignore the 2nd part of that sentence, but rearrange it and tell me I'm ignoring something?!

For those who are too lazy to Google or Wiki but like to follow the discussion, there "were two very short periods" from 1928 to 1944 (i.e. 16 years) and 1274 to 1294 (i.e. 22 years) when Albania "could be considered a country".
And before my good friend Rugs jumps in and says the 1st period lasted until 1368 (which is still a short time anyway), from 1294 to 1368 the "kingdom" was more or less reduced to an isolated city state rather than having enough territory to be considered a country (hence my original choice of words).
You're the one defending your point. I'm just pointing out its flaws. I mean you're the one trying to convince us that the flag the Albanians raised is somehow similar to ISIS?! You're using an example of Iran that makes no sense! You're saying that Albania is a recent country using anachronistic terms to define a nation. I mean c'mon man, how you have reached these conclusions is beyond me? Is anyone else saying these things that you can link us to?

Ok, lets try it this way:

When did Serbia become a country in your view?

What claim do they have over Kosovo which is +90% Albanian?

If you took the top 11 players from the former Yugoslavia all time...they would all be Serbian.

Look at the names...Dejan Stanković, Sinisa Mihajlovic, Dragan Stojkovic,Predrag Mijatović...

You see, the only way in which is his example would make sense is if every ethnicity in iran had a country, which is not the case. Albanians have a right to their nation and Kosovo based on ethnicity, because that is how these ex Yugoslavian nations were cut up

I was talking about current. But yes, in that context of time sure. Croatia is also the only one that has a respectable league usually making it to champions League with dynamo Zagreb

You're killing me dude. It's irrelevant when Serbia became a country and whether or not they have a claim over Kosovo. And it's also irrelevant whether the flag is the ethno-nationalistic equivalent of IS's religious expansionist policies or not, or the situation has any similarities to Iran or not.

The only relevance any of that has to this situation and discussion is that the flag was making a political statement and a sporting arena is NOT a place to make a political statement. And that's not just my opinion, it's that of FIFA. You don't like it, stop wasting time on me and send a letter to FIFA!

Baba jan I never disagreed with that! Lol....

I do however find it hilarious that the Albanians did that only because these are retaliations for what Serbs have been doing for a long time at sporting events

They essentially destroyed them at their own game and made them look stupid while doing so. You gotta admit, flying a drone with a flag is genius!

But yes, I agree with you that sporting arenas are not a place for political statements. That said, if Iranians ever did the same thing with a Persian Gulf flag say in Manama or Doha, I would find it just as funny

If Dynamo is respectable, then Partizan Beograd and Red Star Belgrade are iconic teams in that region. Red Star even won the Uefa champions league!

Na baba, that's irrelevant too. Which makes me wonder why our good friend Rugs takes these discussions to jaadeh khaaki!

My only point was that it was not an Albanian flag and was therefore making a political statement for which there's no room in a football game. He reminds me of my brother... even if he agrees with 99% of what you're saying he finds that 1%, takes the horse to hejleh and beats it to death and then some!

Stay away from Balkan girls! TRUST ME FROM EXPERIENCE. If you think Persian is high maintenance, then you should try to a Balkan girl. No only are they high maintenance, they are rude about it too! "Get me this" "get me that", how come you aren't wearing Prada shoes....urgh thank god I married a Persian!

                            Well done.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

I'm a good boy bro and being married, I stay away from all girls but even when I was single, southern/Eastern European (with the exception of Polish girls) never interested me much for the exact reasons you mentioned. And like you said Iranian women are generally high maintenance too, but at least they're more cute about it.

My issue with Iranian women (lesson finally learnt after the first marriage) was more the constant interference from family, although some people enjoy a more intertwined relationship with the extended family, so it's not a bad thing for everyone. Being a Sagi, I get/feel smothered little too easily!

Family is a huge issue. You have to be willing to basically treat your inlaws like a second set of parents with a Persian girl. Essentially this means having to manage and maneuver interference from your own folks and your inlaws. Thankfully my parents are very hands offish, and at first, it was very frustrating dealing with my inlaws. I have learned to tread carefully and manage her family pretty well now but it does take practice and effort. After the third or fourth marriage, you will have it down pat LOL
