Bosnia isn't sh*t, but they certainly were not the "gods of football" CQ made them seem. We should have won, or at least not lost...If we don't achieve top 4 in AC, CQ's contract should be terminated in my opinion.

Firstly, they should stop swallowing the money, and arrange some Fucking friendlies against national teams instead of this joke against club B teams.. Fucking embarrassing!!

Losing at home to Cyprus is horrible but I just wanted to point out that they were also very unlucky in that match. They're not a bad team. Yes, we could've beaten them on a good day, but losing to them wasn't the end of the world. I personally think that if there was one team that really deserved to go to the knockout stage in our group, it was Bosnia. If we both were a bit more lucky, we could've knocked out Argentina and Nigeria.

I think the biggest reason as to why we lost to Bosnia was because of the long range shot of Dzeko. Our defense was fantastic, and the only way to break us was from range (Just like what Messi toolesag did). After that we were under tremendous stress(like everyone else mentioned) and had to come out of our shell to play a game we weren't designed for.

Not sure why Bosnia is getting those results. If I remember correctly, they were being portrayed as one of the strongest teams in the World by certain Iranian media personalities and coaches not too long ago. Something must have happened.

Bosnian scouts were snooping around for months on these forums... they got all the details and secrets about Iran's national team which helped them concoct the right strategy for beating us. Unfortunately we tend to be very naive in catching up with such matters.

Let's get a few things straight here about Bosnia, now and during the world cup.

Bosnia was NOT a poor team at the world cup. They gave Argentina a very good run and were actually unlucky to not get a point. And while we definitely could have done better against them than we did, it was always going to be a close call. In Dzeko they have a player worth as much on the transfer market as our whole squad combined! That's just a cold hard fact. When you add the likes of Pjanic and Ibisevic to the mix, they had just as much right to expect to win as we did. And I still think if Dzeko hadn't scored that early the outcome could have been different.

As for their current form, the first loss was a complete fluke against the run of play and their tie at Wales was against a very decent team. Wales with Gareth Bale is no slouch, and BH were actually unlucky to not get all three points at cardif. I was very impressed watching them.

Teams like Costa Rica did not have stars like Edin Dzeko but see their achievement at last WC.

Bosnia as a footballing nation have very little history. Yet in the span of four years, Iran, and TM with all of it's footballing history (some good some bad) went from easily beating these guys to idolizing them...forget Bosnia for a second, what does this say about our football with or without CQ?

this is what many people forget. bosnia always had good players playing for top clubs but we always beat them, we beat a very similar bosnia team with zheko in bosnia under ghotbi but we seem to have gone from that to idolizing them in a very short time span.i have never seen such support and brain wash from fans and media in the history of iranian football. anything less than a top 4 finish in asian cup is inexcusable and i dont want to hear from supporters that japan has so and so player playing in Germany.

My sentiments exactly. In the past we complained about coaches who would say "I will hang myself" if we lose (e.g., Ciro) yet we are not complaining about CQ who constantly plays up others and undermines our talents. Yes, we do not have the best league, we don't have a guy at Man City even...but dammit when have we had 17 year olds at Athletico, U22 in Russia and Holland...? Every nation has ebs and flows with regards to their football...enough with the excuses. No top 4 in AC...CQ has to go. I believe the top 4 teams in AC will have the best chance for 2018 and if we are on the outside looking in a change in leadership is needed.

First, I don't see how anyone here "idolized" Bosnia. Acknowledging their improvement is no different than pointing out that Wales right now is also a much improved side compared to previous years.

As for football history, Bosnia and Croatia were part of Yugoslavia's football apparatus. They had a decent football tradition prior to independence. Croatia even made the semi-finals of the World Cup just three years after a bloody civil war.

No matter how you slice it, this Bosnian team is by no means a weak side and their performance against Argentina and just this week against Bale's Welsh team showed exactly that. They also have a much better generation of players than before. This ain't the Bosnia of a few years ago. I do agree that we should absolutely finish top 4 with CQ at the Asian Cup, but let's not get carried away with this "we beat them in a friendly 4 years ago so we should always beat them" logic.

Poland today beat Germany 2 - 0 in Euro 2016 qualifiers. Does this mean Poland is a better team, or does this mean the Germans underperformed? The same comparison can be made about Bosnia and Iran.
