I can explain this pretty easy. EVERY nation in europe has improved to such a high quality that they can upset the bigger teams. Everyone except San Marino and Gilibitrar

^ Same. The gap in Europe is narrowing down, and you barely see massive score lines any more. Eastern Europe specially has come leaps and bounds.
Most amazing of all, in space of 4 years, Iceland has become the strongest Nordic nation and I won't be slightest surprised if they beat Netherlands on Monday.
I love it. The teams there play proper football....much better than the crap we see in our continent sadly.

As for football history, Bosnia and Croatia were part of Yugoslavia's football apparatus. They had a decent football tradition prior to independence. Croatia even made the semi-finals of the World Cup just three years after a bloody civil war.
No matter how you slice it, this Bosnian team is by no means a weak side and their performance against Argentina and just this week against Bale's Welsh team showed exactly that. They also have a much better generation of players than before. This ain't the Bosnia of a few years ago. I do agree that we should absolutely finish top 4 with CQ at the Asian Cup, but let's not get carried away with this "we beat them in a friendly 4 years ago so we should always beat them" logic.Remember RESPECT BEGETS RESPECT & Zob Ahan

He had a serious miscalculation yesterday in fielding an experimental, mostly inexperienced and disorganized team, rather than gradually allowing the newcomers to fit into a more cohesive core unit comprising of more experienced players who had plenty of co-ordination with each other from playing together for years. He did the same in the Argentina friendly and should have known better not to underestimate the Poles or the consequences of the humiliating loss to Argentina on the psyche of his players.

I've said before that I don't think CQ is the best coach out there, but I do know he's pretty much as good as we're going to get with IR running the show. And once he's gone we're much more likely to downgrade than upgrade. That's been the story for the last 35 years.
And as far as the idea of him not rating our players, I think it's a pretty big deal that the players themselves were in tears after the last WC match and were seen imploring Kaffashian to keep Queiroz. Even Karimi who almost never got along with a coach and was especially sensitive to 'disrespect' never had a bad word to say about this guy even after getting passed over for the WC. The players certainly believe in him, even if some of us get the impression he doesn't believe in them. He built a solid team for Brazil, let him at least take that team to Australia...and if it doesn't work out we can always look for other options for WCQ.

Do you think the lack of only two players should weaken the whole team so much?!

To Bi-honar - Its way oversimplified to put the blame entirely on Lowe. Also, you have to taken in account the Argentina game was a friendly, which is meant for experimenting.

watching the euro qualifier highlights....there are lots of good teams. i was amazed at how good some of these small teams were. our futbol and asian futbol in general is way behind. even freakin azerbaijan was playing pretty decent against italy. we are in big trouble next world cup if we make it. everyone is getting better while we play useless friendlies.
what is the point of playing a friendly against a club side mid season?? their good players are on international duty and they have no reason to play good against us. im sure sporting lisbon will be sending their C team to play us tomorrow.
