He has had his prime times.
he had 465 only 40 days ago in Asian Games. which was more than enough to win the gold here.

the problem is poor coaching, Salimi didn't have to peak for the Asian Games. but guess who is responsible for changing the coach ?!

    Salimi got what he deserves.

What I meant was, that even though he didn't get 3 golds, we should be satisfied, he has got his share of golds, both in world championships and Olympics

I am so glad he didn't win gold. That narcissist douche bag needs to get a nice dose of humility. He wanted the coach gone because he thought he would continue to win gold no matter what. Now he has some real competition for once and he fails. I remember him calling last years results a failure and that it was the coaches fault. Now he fucks up himself. I cant wait for Molaei to continue to develop and eventually replace this guy as our 105+kg stud. Salimi single handedly destroyed our weightlifting progress. All I can say is Karma is a bitch!

Now slowly ppl will start to appreciate Kurosh Bagheri (def. the best Iranian weightlfiting coach ever!) even more.
Granted Behdad Salimi is a phenomenal lifter, but honestly, without a good coach, you can be the best of the world and cannot succeed in weightlifting, either due to overstressing your muscles, or in case of Molaei injury, or training deficit.
Weightlifting is really like a mathemtical science these days and good coaching is a key.

Iranian weightlifting started a rebirth when we adopted the famous "Bulgarian Method Lifting" thanks to the great Ivanov and all of the sudden stars like Hossein Tavakoli, Barkhah, Kursoh Bagheri himself, and Rezazadeh started to rise.
and today a lot of nations, noticed the successful "Bulgarian method lifting" receipt on Iranian lifters and started to use it themselves. Today Turkey, Greece etc are all using the same method.
Point is, coaching is very neccessary and essential in lifting. And, well, we had one of the best (Iranian) coaches ever in our history (by far the best) and we ourselves destroyed what we had!!!
            Its a shame!!!
I want bagheri back! And I want Rezazadeh to arrange a meeting between our lifters and Bagheri and clear the misunderstandings for the benfit of Iran!

            regards.
