We thrive in sports that IR doesn't give a shit about, IRIB don't even show footage of it since it's deemed too violent (they didn't used to show boxing as well till Incheon due to the same reason).Comment

Its a shame that we win these kinds of events with very little coverage. all we get is 2 paragraphs in a newspaper. no photos, no videos, no interviews....nothing?

basically we rule in many Far Eastern martial arts and combat sports, we always have a strong presence in Karate, Taekwondo, Wushu and Wrestling of course etc.
in 1976 the "EUROPEAN" (repeat European) Karate chamipnships were held in Tehran. This was due to the high level of Iranian Karatekas, that the European Karate Federation decided that unprecedented move (and still the only event) to be held outside Europe.
Now Junior Kickboxing is being added to our lists of martial arts strengths.....
