hi guys,
wanted to discuss the paris grand prix with you, as i'm not too knowledgeable in wrestling competitions outside of worlds/olympics. how important of a competition is this? it seems we fielded three of our junior world champions (**), all who got gold. how come we don't put in entries for every weight category? could be valuable experience for wrestlers who may not be our #1 at this point in time. also, how come we didn't field a greco team? regardless, here are the results below. i'm concerned that esmaeilpoor lost to the azeri and given his loss to aliyev at worlds in tashkent this year, i wonder if he is going to be our #1 going into the 2016 olympics.
57 kg: no entry
61 kg: **iman sadeghi koukandeh - gold
65 kg: masoud esmaeilpoor - silver (lost to azeri muslimov)
70 kg: **hassan yazdani charati - gold
74 kg: mohammad maktabdar - bronze (lost semi to uzbek kurbanov)
86 kg: **alireza karimi machiani - gold
97 kg: mohammad hossein mohammadian - silver (lost to azeri sharifov)
125 kg: no entry
