This World Cup in LA is a secondary tournament. this is a "team event" only for top 8 teams in the world.

ive checked TV listings and this is only being broadcasted on sunday the 12th. Isn't this a 2 day tournament? Will the preliminary rounds not be aired?

Iran will participate in all official tournaments around the world. so the answer is both. they will never miss a World Championship or a World Cup.

Iran should win this. It is almost our entire 'A' line up and Russia didn't send a serious team. Our biggest challenge will be Azerbaijan but Iran should still win it.

There are rules, only last year world team members + this year Takhti Cup medalists can participate in World Cup, Taghavi didn't qualify. he is preparing for the world team trials.
