3pts for head shot, 3pts for turning kick. they give points for punch easier, refs give cautions quite easily with new rules, falling on the ground, holding leg, etc.

but they are using a new electronic scoring system (they call it PSS) and athletes are slowly learning how to use weaknesses of this system, if you could see Hajji-Zavvareh's fights, he is not that good to be a world champion to be honest but he is just smart and use the rules for his advantage, human refs would not give point to most of his kicks but electronic system does.

btw, you can see athletes are much taller these days. Farzan Ashourzadeh is quite tall for a 58kg athlete, on other hand Ali Nasr was shorter than all his opponents today. height is very important these days because of head shots.

A historic day for Iranian sport and especially womens'. Kimia Alizadeh who is 16 beat the world's best female Taekwondo player and Olympic gold medalist to win Iran's first ever medal in world Taekwondo women's championship!!!!!!!!! I am so proud.
I knew her potential and that is why I had her pic in my signature.

True, but she hasn't won a medal in world stage yet, she became fifth in the world cup a month ago. She is also super young so she will at some point!

Thank you. It is just that I have been passionate about all Iranian national teams (not just football) since I was a kid. I follow a lot of Iranian sport news sites every day.

It seems like many of the women are quite young. The japanese who won gold in the same weightclass was only 19-20 years old.

And Khodabakhshi won the 3rd gold in STYLE. We have a good shot for getting minimum 2 golds in Rio Olympics.
