Apparently, women are not allowed to enter the game due to some protest and threat from Islamistic groups. They were about to protest during the game and threatened by interfering violently. 500 tickets were already sold to women. This is all over the German media

they (iran volleyball) signed papers to agree to allow women in the stadium, they talked and now they are not allowing them to attend games. I hope FIVB ban iran from all international games, and hope this repercussion follows with other sports too.


Either allow women in ALL stadiums or do not participate in the games. End of conversation

Well I doubted at the beginning because the German articles didn't quote any source, but then I saw ISNA (most importantly), Radio Farda and BBCPersian confirming the news so it has to be true

Iran's federation has a Instagram page aswell, not sure about facebook though

we need to re-kick start the campaign again. even if it means our team gets banned from international competition i will consider that a bigger victory than a winning the world league.
