We are currently witnessing a revolution in Iranian football. Team Melli has never been stronger than it is today, and we will only get better.

US is now at 23 pts
              Poland 17
              Iran 15

both with 1 game on hand, we need to get the 3 pts tomorrow and we will be on our way to next round
              IRI = FAILED

Tomorrow's game (or should I say today's game, cuz it's past midnight already) is a MUST WIN for us. If we don't win it, we probably won't qualify for next round.

If we do win it, we still need to get some points from Russia to ensure qualification. Russia will be playing with a lot of stress for a number of reasons:

                1. The game is in Tehran. Our fans will give them a hard time like they did to USA and Poland.
                2. If Russia fails to obtain any points from us, they will be relegated to second tier next year. So they will be putting all their energy on winning against us.

Now this can be an advantage for Iran, if they manage to exploit Russia's stressful situation. We have to go hard at the very first set and not give them hope of taking even 1 point from us. If we get full points against Russia, we are 100% through, perhaps even top of the group.

But first... we must deal with Poland. Once again... this is a MUST WIN situation. More important than the Russia game.

Guys I was just looking at this video and then its comment section. I do not quite understand how some Iranians can be so awkward as to post videos in the comment section that have nothing, I repeat, nothing to do with the volleyball game. This is really awkward, and certainly not the first time I experience this from Persians on social media such as Facebook.
And as the guy in the 2nd screenie comments: ''khejalat bekeshin''... Totally agreed.
Some Iranians have the constant urge to post facts/pics/vids concerning Iran on rather bizarre moments and places of the social media in order to try make people think better about the country!
''Hey, at least the Poles liked Iran 70 years ago!''
The world couldn't care less about this.
These videos are nothing but annoying for people who see them in comments section of a volleyball game. They are also known as SPAM!
P.S. If you want to know what those videos are about: they are about Poles who fleed their country during WW2 and immigrated to Iran. Fuck really? And that has to be posted on a volleyball video?

                    Its genetic bro.

No but seriously I agree, we have this rationale that unconciously prompts us to correct misrepresentation. Which is not a bad thing but there is a place and time for it.

Its not points anymore, I noticed they have changed the system. The main factor is number of wins, so even if we win all of our remaining games 3-2 then we are through. Points are only reviewed if the number of wins between two are the same.

i believe if we beat poland and russai
                        and poland beats USA,

We will have the same number of wins as Poland and then they will count the points.

What we need to ensure qualification is 3 more wins and at least 8 more points.

Exactly, we need 2 (3-0/3-1) wins and 1 (3-2) win

I'm pretty sure Poland will drop a game to the US, so as long as we win the game today, we're pretty much assured of going to the next round. We'll bag the two games with Russia for sure.

We should be able to deal with Russia.

But hopefully it will not be a repeat of the Iran-Bosnia game in football.

Ah well.. our volley players are mentally very very good.

By the way, Japan almost ended France's winning streak.
Japan had won the first two sets. But then France won the rest, including the fifth set.
This is the first time in this tournament that France drops a point. Lol

Poland showed they are familiar with many spectators and can somehow adjust to the environment very fast. Iran has a motivation after the first match, so today match will be a hard fight by both side. If Iran wins this match 3-0 or 3-1 then most likely Iran can advance to the next level with US. If Iran wins with 3-2 it will be decided in last day of this level. If Iran loses by any score, Iran should say good bye to the next level...
Edit, just went over it and your right PersianLegion jan

                                Currently,

USA (8wins) (23pts) - won again against Russia today
                                Poland (6 wins) (17pts)
                                Iran (5wins) (15pts)

If we win against Poland (3-2) today

                                then

                                USA (8wins) (23pts)
                                Poland (6 wins) (18pts)
                                Iran (6 wins) (17pts)

So if Poland wins both matches against USA (3-0/3-1) which would be tough for them but possible then we are out regardless us winning Russia (3-0/3-1) since:

                                Poland (8 wins) (24pts)
                                USA (8wins) (23pts)
                                Iran (8wins) (23pts)

But what happens if USA and Iran are equal? Who takes the second spot..?
