Poland wins the 5th and final set! Congrats to Poland and USA for advancing and kudos to our lads for a strong showing. In the end had we not had such a terrible start dropping 4 straight matches to USA and Poland, our destiny could have been in our own hands. Lessons for next year!

They showed that they aren't one hit wonders at least. The starters are good enough to compete with the top teams in the world but there needs to be more depth. I'd say iran is 6th or 7th best in the world.

In all honesty, Poland deserves more than Iran, they beat us 3 out of 4 times, and the only time we beat them was 3/2..

YES because they host.

The format is same every year only they have added mre teams for eveyyear to expand the world league. honestly the tourney is a great success.

i love this team they gave their all. Only poland and US was better by slightest margin. they are 1and2 in world right now brazil is 3rd. then comes iran and serbia and france and italy and maybe russia if they can bounce back

The moment you realize Italy qualifies to the finals instead of Iran

Italy has 16 points, and played all their matches already. They are also 3rd in the group. But they qualify anyway because Brazil, who is also in their group, is host.
Iran has 18 points, and still has 1 game to play, possibly ending with 21 points. They will be 3rd in the group but won't qualify.


The good part is that our players get to rest for a month, till the Asian Championship in Tehran.

After the Asian Championship our team moves to Poland for a friendly tournament. We will play against Poland, France and Japan.
Then we move on to Russia for another friendly, against the hosts.
Then we finally move to the World Cup in Japan.

It would be nice to finally qualify for the olympics for the first time in history. Our team totally deserves it.

iranian losses the game 3-1 to Russia. they finish the league in 6th place.

good tournament for iran. hopefully they will learn from this season. it was a tough group.
