Look at the list of countries....Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Ivory Cost...also consider Egypt, Morroco, Cameroon, Algeria, South Africa....Asia cannot compete with those teams. On any given day the top African sides can demolish the top Asian side.

African football is overrated, we are on the same level as them. Iran, Japan, South Korea and Australia are roughly on the same level as Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Cameroon. South America with the exception of Argentina and Brazil, is also not much stronger than Asia's top 4, if not on the same level aswell.

Besides 2002 which was an officiating disaster and 1966 with North Korea what Asian squad has even made a dent at the World Cup?

we didnt win but they didnt dominate by any means when they have much more experience and investment in their country from europe. our boys were nervous and it was some wacky CQ plan to play like that, but we could've done better. im pretty sure we can beat any african team if we play right, only team that could be hard to beat is Ghana

I don't know what you consider dominating but they nearly had twice our ball possesion from what I remember.

Once upon a time people used to say Asians will never be good at volleyball - now look what's happened.
Once upon a time people would say an Asian country will never top the Olympics - now look what's happened.
Once upon a time people would say Americans would never enjoy football - now look what's happened.

You can all but gaurantee a team from every confederation except for Asia and Oceania will make it past the WC group stages. Just look since 1998 for evidence of what I mean.
There are huge factors at play ranging from corruption to talent but the difference is in Africa the proximity to Europe, the relatively easy and interference free process of finding talent, and the political climate makes it easier for big clubs to spend little and get alot for their return. These players become like Drogba and help their national teams in return.
