Yes that's correct. USA needs to win both of their game 3-0 I believe.

And if USA doesn't let Poland take more than 1 point,

We will qualify instead of Poland.

If Poland loses 3:2 and 3:0, we can still qualify instead of them.

Forgot to mention Russia also failed to qualify. If I am not mistaken, Group 2 winner also qualifies to Rio.

Regardless we're also disqualified, notwithstanding point superiority (or personal sentiments for that matter). Seeing as we're 3rd in our group, we're in 6th place, while Russia and Australia share 7th. Also a correction: Australia has 3 points (we beat Italy 3-0 in one game). It's Russia that have 2.
Italy is on less points than us as well (16 and have played all their matches, yet we're currently on 18).
EDIT: Russia beat us this morning 3-1 so they're on 5 points and don't get relegated.
