There are a group of 40 to 50 die hard fans and the rest are like us. Is this exciting? Not for me but I like bonding with my kids and getting them more interested in sports more. I would rather go see the Lakers or the Clippers.
you can't expect a league that is only 20 years old to have a crowed like Europe. give it some time and you will see.IRI = FAILED

Thoughts on MLS?

IPL is not better than MLS for the simple fact that IPL players dont have the fitness or stamina to finish a 90 min game. MLS at least has the right facilities, and resources to develop fitness and they can somewhat play up to european standards. No way in hell would our teams be able to put up a good fight against these european teams that come to play in US. i know its preseason bs but any IPL team would probably lose 5-1 to barcelona in these friendlies where as Galaxy loses 2-1 or red bulls beat chelsea 4-2
tell me what IPL team can put 4 past chelsea these days please lol

Both leagues need plenty of improvement. I'd actually like to see some friendly games between clubs of both leagues to get a better idea which one is better.
On the topic of players in Europe the US has had more. Speaking about current players in Europe I think I can count Iranian players on my 2 hands. Not the case with the US. Many US players return to MLS by choice even though they have been thriving for their clubs in Europe. Most of our players leave Europe because their European club no longer wants them.I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

This is the reason why the US national team will never get better, and never be as good as the 2002 team."I'm here to clean the carpets. Most of the world is carpeted. And, one day, we will do the cleaning."

If MLS is a league which produces good players, you would think Beitashour should be considered by Carlos Queiroz to play for Iran during a World Cup or Asian Cup. But in fact, he has been off the roster for a year now after riding the bench for most time. Our IPL right backs are currently higher ranked than one of the best right backs from the MLS Beitashour. No need for any analogy, CQ with his pedigree made this decision himself. I will go by what he thinks.

I mean, there are a couple of players who are Team Melli material but they haven't been called up at all. Radjabali-Fardi and Hasegawa are those who could be a fine addition to our squad, but if you look at the previous camps you see that most of the players are domestic. Maybe Carlos realized that there is potential and talent in the IPL, and maybe he does not look for abroad players anymore. Just my observations. Davari was pretty much the last player from abroad he called up, and he happens to be off Team Melli for a while now.
