This is Australia not Germany or France. If he plays for their national team it's not much of a loss.

It's not like Arzani was accepted by Australia on the basis that he will have to play for their national team, as it would be the case for foreign born players that were purposely brought in to play for Qatar.

Which one of these applies to the foreign born players playing for the Qatar National Team?
You are comparing apple and oranges here.

Examples of those who were good enough to do so include Khalifa Ababacar (Senegal), Karim Boudiaf (France), Mohammed Muntari(Ghana) etc.
These players were all brought in their youth before they played any professional football.
More players than those mentioned underwent the same proccess, but obviously didn't make the cut to the national team.

he looks a pretty decent talent ..!
if he was born and raised in Australia, then i could understand if he opted to play for the socceroos..!
are both his parents iranian..?? then may be easier to tempt him to lean our way..!? he wears AK8's number and seem to want to emulate his style..!!?
it'll be great if we can snatch his asss and cap-tie him before soccerroos ...!
he still seems awful young to get a senior aussie call up...!!? lets just monitor his progress for now and see what happens..!?
gooz luck mate..!!

All are under 25 aswell so even if Arzani makes it to Europe, he will struggle to find any playing time with the Socceroos
