This is Australia not Germany or France. If he plays for their national team it's not much of a loss.

This isn't the 1800s anymore, you realise that right.

That is a totally different scenario.

It's not like Arzani was accepted by Australia on the basis that he will have to play for their national team, as it would be the case for foreign born players that were purposely brought in to play for Qatar.

Which foreign born ones were brought in specifically to play for qatar's national team? Don't these players play in the qatar league and have been living there prior to being included in qatar's national team?
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

KC must have been beat up a lot by Qataris in school, he seems obsessed with them. It's like Ozil, Gundogon, Benzema, Zidane and all the other hundreds of different ancestral footballers playing for different countries doesn't apply to him.

            "Oh but but.... Qatar!"

Arzani has lived his whole life in Australia, speaks the language with the accent of the country, has played for all national youth teams, and probably knows the national anthem of the country!.

Which one of these applies to the foreign born players playing for the Qatar National Team?

You are comparing apple and oranges here.

That still does not invalidate my point that none of these players were specifically brought to qatar to play for their national team which is what it seemed like you were claiming. They all played in the qatar league before being called up.

That is odd that you think you can use another country 's resources but feel no obligation to it. Then again it is a common Iranian trait to see us above everybody else and be ungrateful racists. All the while feel so clever that we are taking advantage of them foreigners!

He is Iranian. My friend was in the Socceroos age group below and I'm pretty sure they know each other.

Maybe not all but, some African migrants were brought in specifically to be developed as football players, and if good enough play for the national team.

Examples of those who were good enough to do so include Khalifa Ababacar (Senegal), Karim Boudiaf (France), Mohammed Muntari(Ghana) etc.

These players were all brought in their youth before they played any professional football.

More players than those mentioned underwent the same proccess, but obviously didn't make the cut to the national team.

he looks a pretty decent talent ..!
if he was born and raised in Australia, then i could understand if he opted to play for the socceroos..!
are both his parents iranian..?? then may be easier to tempt him to lean our way..!? he wears AK8's number and seem to want to emulate his style..!!?
it'll be great if we can snatch his asss and cap-tie him before soccerroos ...!

he still seems awful young to get a senior aussie call up...!!? lets just monitor his progress for now and see what happens..!?
                          gooz luck mate..!!

Luckily the Socceroos are stacked in that position with Aaron Mooy (rejected Belgian champions, Has EPL offers), Tom Rogic(at Celtic, Arsenal interested), Chris Ikonomidis (Lazio), and Massimo Luongo(at QPR, nominated in Balon d'or).

All are under 25 aswell so even if Arzani makes it to Europe, he will struggle to find any playing time with the Socceroos

The name "Arzani" is a joonoobi name common by the Bakhtiaries. His name indicates that his parents were/are from khouzesten and are Bakhtiaries, cant be a Afghan.

I would only play for The Netherlands if Iran didn't want me. Otherwise there are no other possibilities than choosing for Iran NT.
