is going to be a hard desicion for him. Australia invested alot in him, and if he choose iran people might be upset, but is part of being a international player you have to make the desicion. I think if CQ stay till 2019 asian cup , he will join Iran, not sure if other coaches come to iran what will happen

300+ comments under the Facebook video of his goal. People are mostly praising him.

Also a bunch of Aussies desperately saying “CAP HIM” before Iran does.

No offence to Australia but surely from a pure footballing sense it’s a no brainer for the kid.

Given the crop of talent Iran currently has aged early to mid 20’s and the inroads they are making into European leagues he has a great opportunity to be part of something special in 4 years. Plus if anyone turns down representing team Melli at the Azadi in favour of representing the Aussies at their 4th/5th sport you surely need your head read.

Yeah except CQ might not stay after WC and I can only imagine who IFF will replace him w/.... I think Ghalenoi and Toni are available. Like Arzani would want to risk something like that

Usually a top World Cup performance will inspire kids for a decade or two down the line but if we were to do something special this summer, it may well seal his mind and make a very promising 19 year-old commit to us. Obviously you'd want him to make the decision completely naturally and independently anyway but no ill feelings if he doesn't choose us, it'll just be as a result of a lack of proper education about what being part of TM means.

Carlos cap this lad already, he looks more talented than I thought...imagine him up front with Ghoddos, JB, and Sardar all in their prime. We would run riot.

Nonetheless it would be very controversial for this young kid if he chooses Team Melli, Aussies will hate on us more than ever before when we manage to snatch away a talent from them

                      THE ONLY PROBLEM IS...

HE HAVE TO BE Capped in World Cup, or Asian Cup next year, because we have no other official Fifa match before or between this two tournaments. if we really have to cap him in one of this tournaments, than probably it makes sense to invite him now to the camps and use him some minutes in this 8 friendlies, and sub him in an World Cup match in the last minutes...and NOT wait till asian cup.....probably Australian will invite him for their World Cup squad, more logical than we invite him...

And on the 8.Day God created Ali Karimi, and he saw he was good!

We'll probably be rotating against Portugal to rest the players for the Round of 16 game so that would be a perfect chance for him to earn his competitive cap.

Be positive my friend. Obviously losing Queiroz would be a big loss but his history with Portugal shows he’s a long term planner and they have twice reaped these fruits before after his stints with youth and senior teams.

I believe he has set in place a strong and closely knit set up that should be an attractive proposition for any decent coach for the next AC and WC. Furthermore he seems to genuinely care about us and that he leaves a legacy so I wouldn’t be surprised if he tried to advise and help IFF with appointing his successor.

What’s more is there’s a large core of talent already bedded into the squad that have been playing in European leagues from a young age to an extent that we have not had at any point in our history. Although Quieroz deserves a lot of credit this is not entirely down to him. I’ll repeat again - compared to Australia’s current prospects and talents it’s a no brainer.

"Five things we learned from A-League Round 21:The A-League’s own Hazard

Football fans and pundits alike are obsessed with comparing world football’s greatest young talents to those past and present, so it should be no surprise that Melbourne City’s Daniel Arzani is no exception.

No, before you roll your eyes, it’s not Lionel Messi, but rather Chelsea’s own Eden Hazard.

If similar size and stature doesn’t convince you, surely the positional capabilities and playing style will.

Arzani’s low centre of gravity, quick change of pace and ability to dribble past defenders at will has become rather reminiscent of the highlight reels Hazard has produced since his days with Lille.

In fact, the 19-year-old’s superb solo effort during City’s 2-1 defeat to Perth Glory on Saturday night showed just why the Iranian-born Australian has become the hottest talent in the country.

After collecting a long ball played out to him on the left wing, Arzani brought the ball to a near-standstill, stood veteran Dino Djulbic up, before cutting inside and curling a gorgeous shot into the top corner.

While it wasn’t enough to earn Warren Joyce’s men all three points in the end, it was certainly the latest example of the wonderkid’s potential."

If we do not call him to World Cup we will lose him.

I agree. He's getting too much traction to ignore. This might be overhyping him but I think he's good enough already to make our WC Squad if he gets called up now. If you remember AJB only made his debut in October of 2013 and ended up playing at the 2014 WC for us. Also, I think we should get a petition going to send to CQ and the IFF asking them to call Daniel up as soon as possible.
