So the 2015 Asian Volleyball Championship is going on in Tehran. As you know iran just finished the world league few weeks ago. And the FIVB world cup is coming up soon for iran.
So the Kovach and the Federation decided to send the Iran B team to the Asia Championship while most teams have come with their A team to tehran.
Iran cruised in the Preliminary round.
In the second round, today iran lost to S.korea and finished 2nd!!
which means iran will face Australia and potentially China the round after that.
Australia and China are two of the toughest teams in route to the final. Where as if iran had beat Korea today they would have much, much easier time going to the final!!
Iran just lost a very costly game that could comeback and hunt them.
This tournament should have been a "walk in the park" for us and we just "up the ante" and we could potentially loss either to Australia or China tomorrow or the day after!!
Hopefully I am wrong!! let see how they dig themselves out of this now!
