        Super athletic for a heavyweight. Still wings his punches and will be in big trouble against a strong striker like JDS. Needs to learn defense and generally improve his stand-up.

          Ya these guys have at least another 1-2 yrs to go to get even close to pro level and be featured on UFC. just because they are very raw skills and have to learn defense and stamina. They need 5-10 more fights at least to get used to it all.

            Will not be that long. He fights for AKA. AKA has a very close relationship with the UFC. He will be signed within the next year after only 3-5 fights. Hopefully UFC doesn't throw him to the wolves and force him to fight an experienced veteran fighter like JDS or Mir from the get go. As long as he gets some manageable opponents for the first 3 or 4 fights in the UFC I think he will have a solid, if not championship career. Like I said before, his athleticism and strength is off the charts. His wrestling ability is of coarse basically god tier and his chin might be as well from what I have heard and seen.

              Glad he is dominating. Just watching those couple of minutes Akbari still has a loooong way to go but he is very promising. Right now he is just pure explosive strength and wrestling. But there's a lot more he has to learn. Hope to see him in the UFC one day.

                      Good to hear. Maybe he can get some freestyle work in as well. He just needs 2 more fights before UFC will move on him. Hopefully he gets them soon. Looks like Overeem is pushing his case for a title shot.
