This team is ever weaker than pre-2011 team. and the problem is not just the coach, he is one of the problems though.

btw, where are those guys who were saying "not sending our A team to Asian Championship was a good idea" ?? they lost the Asian title for this show ?? by losing the title to Japan we already made a serious opponent in Japan. now I think they will beat our A team even here in this tournament (as they already did in a tournament in Poland)

meanwhile our U21 team sucks big time in World Championship in Mexico , already eliminated.

right volleyball became a top sport in Iran and these players became celebrity, the downhill of our volleyball starts. they need a big change otherwise in one year or 2 we won't be even in top 3 of Asia.

First they lose 3 straight sets against Poland, and now 3 against Russia. Very weak performance.

federation made a mistake by giving almost 2 month off between World League and World Cup. this team should have participated in Asia Cup, that way they could have kept the momentum going. however they lost the momentum after a long break.

any team can have a bad period and we are having just that.

We leaped so much ahead of our actual capability and now we just need to slide back to the truth and try hard to hold on to our position. There are some new players that Kovach is trying out, but overall we did not play bad, we just lack the solid defense we had built and must work on it again.

Our teams seems to have lost the spirit of 2 years ago under Velasco.

Let's hope our basketball team can do better and win the Asian championship starting soon, and qualify for Rio 2016. Though our volleyball team could achieve more at the Olympics than our basketball team..

They will participate in the Asian Qualifiers next year. But only one Asian team will make it to the olympics. That means we must beat Japan, Australia, South Korea and China.

thats very doable. We are the best team in Asia. There was no chance we could have finished top 2 at World Cup.

This team doesn't have the ambition anymore. That is the problem. They also don't seem to have a good relationship with the coach. A tougher coach like Anastasi would have manned them up!

I dont think Kovac can help this team anymore. Its a very one-dimensional game they are playing, passing the ball to Marouf and hope for the best.
