Games started today and the first match was between Iran and S.Korea. The boys demolished Korea 77-46 with some wonderful defense.

Samad Nikkhah and Arman Zanganeh are the 2 players who are not with the team because of slight injuries .

Next up tomorrow : Iran vs Taipei B

So Iran crushed Korea. That is some good news, since S Korea was like a black horse to us, especially since they took the gold medal over us at the 2014 Asian Games.

Indeed you are wrong, that was their national team, 8 of these players played against Iran in Asian Games final, actually 9 since Moon Tae-Jong was replaced by his brother Moon Tae-Young ! (they are both US citizens and can't play together for the NT)

seems like the boys got their revenge after the gold medal loss in the Asian games. They wanted to show that they could do better.

Iran beats Taiwan B 88-66 and then Japan 78-57. Pretty easy games as Bauermann is trying all his players in this tournament with a pretty nice rotation.

Next game will be against NZL(a club, not the NT) tomorrow 9:30 tehran time.

well in basketball you can be a good player until you are 40 so no need to stress it

Honestly Iran's big 3 Hamed Sammad and Mahdi reminds me of Spurs big 3 Ginobli Duncan Parker.. except the Asian version.
